Varod's New Apartment

"I still eat normal!" Varod said, outraged at this. "You can have anything in the fridge."
He kissed her cheek.
"You can get a mark or two off."
"Or a billion, like Varod!" Anti joked, and Varod shoved him.

Christy threw them a look like she would kill them at the thought that she would make a grade of anything less than perfect but placed her essay and book on the coffee table and got up to fix her something to eat. Luckily for her she knew how to work a microwave otherwise she might have starved.

The paper was sitting where they could read it in her perfectly neat cursive handwritting though couldn't understand it since it was an extremely complicated essay. She came back a few minutes later with a sandwich in hand and a drink and started eating, "What are we watching?" she asked looking at the tv as she took a bite of her sandwich.

"Malcom in the Middle," they said at the same time, then burst out laughing.
"Yeah, it's the episode where the dad gets the smoosher thing," Varod said laughing.

"What?" she asked looking at Varod. She had never even seen the show. In fact she actually hadn't been allowed much television at all growing up. Once she became a teenager and they quit watching her was when she got the television that was in her room and then again she rarely watched it concentrating mostly on her studies. She held out half of the sandwich, "Want some?" she asked looking at him as she took a sip of her drink.

"Nah," Varod said, leaning back in his seat and putting his feet on the coffee table.
"I'll take some!" Anti said, taking a bite and then mimicking Varod.

"Watch out for my!!!" she exclaimed but it was too late, "Paper." she said quietly. She'd have to re-write the entire thing now that foot prints were over it. She sighed, "I can't do anything over here can I?" she asked looking at the two of them.

"You should have just left it," Varod said.
"Yeah, it woulda been fine," Anti said, summoning an apple and taking a bite.
They loved apples.
"Sorry," they both said.

"I didn't even start working on it til I got here!" she said looking at them. "Maybe I should go home." she said sadly now that she'd have to start it over again. She really didn't want to go home but she knew she'd have to eventually. She'd have to realize that her father was dead and wasn't coming back anytime soon.

"Please don't go!" Varod says quickly.
"Yeah, don't leave me alone with him!" Anti said, sitting up straight.
"Seriously, stay."
"Seriously, DON'T. LEAVE. ME. ALONE. WITH. HIM."

"Well you don't have to be here." she replied to Anti Varod. She made a point with that. "Besides is any more of my school work going to get messed up if I stay?" she asked looking at him as she put her books back down and moved to sit on Varod's lap.
