"Maybe its a little bit of both." she said as she slid down the wall and looked at him. Should she even tell him what had been going on. She wasn't sure if it was her place to say, what she had witnessed or not. Her face looked extremely broken hearted and she still looked as if she were literally wasting away before his eyes.

Varod closed his eyes. "Oh well," he muttered. "You seem troubled, what's on your mind?"
This time it was HIM who looked at HER curiously.
"You can tell me."

"Well..." she said taking a deep breath. "I had to get Nick's family...well identify them after they had been attacked by a group of werewolves and i brought back his two year old sister to him." she started silent tears flowing from her eyes. "Well she had been bitten. He killed her for it...I don't think I can be with someone like that."

Varod looked at her grimly. "I'm sorry, Christy," was all he could manage. He looked at the floor. "Are you going to be okay?" he asked. "You need me for anything? I'm not good at this whole comfort thing..."

She didn't reply. She honestly didn't know what to say as she wiped the tears from her face. She really should stop the whole crying thing. Damsel in distress thing wasn't really how she wanted people to see her. She was a strong witch in her own right. But then Nick making her think he killed his sister wasn't exactly helping the situation, and then Varod actually acting as if he cared for her.

"Listen, we're friends, if you need anything, come to me," Varod told her. "Just because we're not together doesn't mean I don't care about you."
He wrapped his arms around her tightly. "It's okay, don't worry about anything, I'm here for you."

Christy nodded. She doubted she would come to him often. It would probably be awkward for him. She didn't want him to feel uncomfortable. She was surprised that he even offered it to be honest. It was weird since she was so quiet. "If thats what you want." she said as she laid her head on his shoulder.

"I'm not retarded, don't worry about anything, I'm here anyway," Varod told her. He played with her hair. "Do you still like that? I just want you to feel better..." he blushed slightly.

"Yeah." she said as she closed her eyes. She hadn't had someone play with her hair in a while and it really was relaxing to her.

Things will never be back the way they used to be... Varod thought. His own tears began to slide down his face.
"I'm sorry for getting angry at you earlier, it's not you I'm mad at anymore," he said, still playing with her hair.
