godmodding?

I've had a couple of instances lately where people have either reacted to what my character was thinking or have described my character's demeanour based on his thoughts. I find this a little irritating, because I wanted him to be deceptive, and how can you write a deceptive character when people are constantly reacting to his internal monologue?

I've looked around on the site in the rules and in the guides and I can't find anything forbidding this, but on most sites it's considered the wrong thing to do. However, I understand that this site accepts everyone, and that's cool, so I'd just like to know what the protocol is for my situation?

i think you should make it more clear by adding Selwyn thought at the end and if you have to add it in bold

Well, it's not so much thoughts as exposition. Usually, the point is that Selwyn doesn't think it, he acts a certain way because of these influences on his life and I'd prefer if people didn't act like their characters knew all about that.

However thank you for that attempt. Perhaps I'll just write all my exposition in italics or something.

Just make a note about it in the particular thread. I agree, it can be incredibly annoying when a random person suddenly acts like they know everything about your character.
