Really, Sue shouldn't be complaining about the weather. Darren was glad it was raining, as he wouldn't be able to come out if it wasn't. The reason for this was that in a sunny day a cloaked person like him would be far more noticeable than in a dark rainy day. Even a stupid ministry wizard would suspect him then.
Ginevra had, once, been Darren's best friend at Hogwarts. For a long time too. Though, during that time she left Hogwarts continuously for lots of days at a time, and he was usually annoyed at that. She always had excuses, Ginevra was really a danger magnet and lots of things happened to her. And everyone around her also became in danger, mainly because she did stupid things. Now however she had left again, and this time Darren doubted she was in danger. This time, he didn't give a damn. That surprised him. But then again, he had always known that he would probably never see most of his friends again after he finished Hogwarts. "That was before," he said dully, remembering that. Sue apparently was surprised too. "I probably won't ever see her again, so what does she matter to me?" he asked. Sighing, he wished she would just let go of the subject, it wasn't really something he wanted to talk about.
Darren knew Sue would answer if he just told her what he was after. She was quite predictable. He was surprised to know that he didn't find the fact of where she lived amusing, he just found it ironic. She had been spoiled before, living in a mansion, and now she lived in a tiny apartment. It was kind of like him, though, unlike him, she deserved it. "Well Sue, just consider it your punishment for killing so many people," he said harshly. Darren was glad that at least Sue knew Voldemort wasn't dead yet, most people thought he was. He knew Sue thought he was going to destroy the horcrux, thereby killing Voldemort. Finally. "Well, I could find it, and kill him," he said thoughtfully, he had been thinking of this a lot. "But why would I? What would it do really?" The ministry would still be after him, and no one would even care that HE, not Ne'os, had killed him, since they thought he was already dead. What he really wanted was to get the ministry away from him, so he could get out of hiding.
