Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Ben smiled as his sister joined him with the dolphins. It was the kind of thing she would like, he thought. He ducked underwater and watched the dolphins from the seabed. It was like seeing them in their natural habitat. Amazing. He wondered if their were any magical creatures like this. Magical creatures tended to be more...odd. Apart from unicorns, which were just amazing. Normla creatures tended to be a lot more friendly, he figured.

Ben swam up to the surface as he needed fresh air. He couldn't hold his breath for too long yet, he hadn't practised it that much, really. "Wow." he simply said.

Butterfly looked up at the sun. It was high in the sky. ''Ben, we should probably go in. We might get sunburn anyway.'' She took one last look at the dolphins, and then swam to shore. She picked up her towel, and wrapped it around herself. She waited for Ben to come out.

Ben looked up. Crap, it was sunny. He hadn't thought to put any sun cream on. That wasn't too smart. He didn't want to get burned. "Oh yeah, good point." he agreed and swam to shore along side her. He grabbed his towel and dried himself off, before putting it over his shoulder. He began to walk up to where they were staying. He wondered if his parents were up yet.

Butterfly went up into her room, and hung up her towel. She fished through her wardrobe, and came up with a yellow shirt with pink shorts. She changed, and then went into the kitchen to fish in the refrigorator to find a snack. She settled with yogurt. [b]''Ben! If you want a snack, now would be the time to get it!

Ben changed up in his room. Well, not exactly his room, but the one he had been staying in for the past few days. He heard his sister call, saying something about a snack. Snack? One way to catch Ben's attention, mention anything about food. He ran towards the kitchen in a heartbeat. "What are you eating?" he asked his sister as he walked in the doorway.

''Just some yogurt. What are you gonna have? There's chips, Bertie Bots, cookies, carrots..'' Butterfly was sort of a health freak. She would have sweets, but only twice a week. Thats her limit.

Typical, Butterfly having yoghurt. She was always really healthy. Ben was the complete opposite. "I'll have some Bertie Botts, I think." he replied, reaching up and taking a pack out of the cupboard. He picked out a sweet. Green. He popped it in his mouth and spat it out after a second. "Ewww, spinach." he commented, chucking the sweet in the garbage bin. He cautiously took out a second, creamy coloured sweet. He ate it, smiling. "Yoghurt." he simply said.

"Ben, do you know what's in Bertie Bots? Because I don't think you do. Each bean has 200 calories in it. And 200 calories is my limit. And what I eat, yogurt, only has 70 calories in it. A lot less than what others eat. This might seem like gibberish to you, but it's actually really important."

"You're right." Ben said, before adding. "It does sound like total gibberish." he finished, grinning. He ate another bean. Coconut, not so bad. He never cared too much about what he ate. He ate what tasted nice. He was never too unhealthy. He never seemed to be that overweight either. He was fairly active, so he could get away with eating a bit more than the active person.

Ben walked up and down the room. He couldn't stand doing nothing. He didn't want to disturb his parents. He looked out of the window. There was a pool where lots of people were swimming. There were a game next to it...some muggle sport...where you hit a ball over the net. Ben could remember the rules, just not that name. What was it? Tennis! That was it. Even though he was staying in a wizarding hotel, they always seemed to put muggle sporting activities outside. For cover, he assumed. He wondered if there would be an indoor Quidditch pitch anywhere. He'd rather play that than tennis. He needed to practise if he wanted to make the team the following year. "Hey Butterfly, is there a Quidditch practise pitch or anything around here?" he asked his sister, wondering if she had seen anything.

Butterfly was just throwing away her spoon when she heard Ben say, Are there any quidditch practice fields around here? She thought for a minute. "I think that there's one over by the store. Not many wizards use it, but they still used the muggle repellant just in case. Do you want me to drive you there?"
