How was his night with the guys? Well they had sunk quite a few drink’s, spoke about girls, played cards, just a usual night really. Nick had thoroughly enjoyed it, but he knew not to admit such a thing to a girl, especially a girl that he liked. Smiling he turned on the charm and replied “Well it was good, we just did what boys do. It would have been better if you had called me earlier and I got to ditch them and escort you here, you look beautiful.” he said as he took a step back and admired her appearance. The tight fitting golden dress really brought out her physique, and her golden hair fell past her shoulders elegantly. Nick was the luckiest guy in the room right now, being associated with her. Had he known she was wearing such colours he would have tried to dress similar, so as to match. Nicholas had however gone for the safe option, one could always get away with the colour black, his dark hair meant that it was a look that suited him.
He thought it sweet she remembered that he had told her he had been heading out tonight. Perhaps that was why she did not call him earlier, to give him a bit of space. How thoughtful, though it looked like he arrived just in time. As nice as Hafiz was he didn’t want him becoming an obstacle between he and Christabelle. Nick shrugged as he heard he had got his cousin to ask her for a dance, then spoke confidently at Hafiz “You win some and you lose some. Its easier when you ask the girls that aren’t taken though, unlucky Haf.”
Grabbing Christabelles hand he led her across the room and into the kitchen, which was empty apart from a few people pouring themselves some drinks. Had Christabelle been drinking tonight? Nick didn’t know but he guessed he was about to find out “What is it your drinking here? And where is it Mariana keeps everything?” You couldn’t have a drink with no glasses or straws! And Nick wasn’t drunk enough to go rummaging through someone else’s cupboard’s.
