Chase frowned slightly. She was leaning up against a boulder next to the lake, with a book in her hands. "Willpower."She thought staring at it. She had a couple other books sitting next to her and she was flipping through them looking for one that looked interesting. "Romance...Suspense...Fiction...Non-fiction..." She muttered to herself staring at the books in her hands. "Sci-fi, Horror..."She groaned and put them all down. This was harder then she thought. Picking up a Suspense novel she glared at it and then opened the cover to the book.
Placing a finger on the first line she started to read, slowly, but surely. It was a beautiful day, the sun was shining, there were no clouds in the sky, and she had perfect light to read. Well, she had never read like this before, so she wasn't quite sure what "Perfect light" was. Putting the book down she picked up the next one. Romance. Opening it she turned to the first page and started to read. This one seemed a bit better to her then the last suspense novel.
Glancing up at the sky she groaned. This sure did hurt her eyes. Taking a deep breath she started to read again, her finger sliding along the book as she read. It must look odd. She thought suddenly. To see a girl, who was wearing a Pink short skirt, with a shirt that was simply a strap across her chest, that was also pink, and bright green leggings, (Had to have a splash of colour after all) sitting, reading a book out by the lake, alone, and looking miserably frustrated.
Digging her nose back into the book she took a deep breath and started in on it again. But she sat up immediately. How did people do this? Her eyes hurt, her back was already sore! Yet people spent HOURS a day reading books...for fun! Deciding a different approach she stood up, grabbed her books and sat on TOP of the big boulder she had just been leaning again. Crossing her legs she used another rock to prop the book up against. Laying down she crossed her legs in midair and rested her chin on one hand, the other holding onto the book and running her finger along it. There, that was better.
