Shhh, be quiet! This is a library!

“Ash!” Serena Squealed as she ran up behind her best friend and threw her arms around his neck, “Oh Ashy we really need to spend more time together.” The two first years hadn’t really seen much of each other in the past few days and it was so boring around the castle without her best friend around. It was so different now than it had been over the summer when the two had taken turns spending the night at on or the others houses. Rena felt odd and uncomfortable without him by her side. It was like she was missing a part of herself, but her short attention span helped her get over it rather quickly. The little girl giggled as she hugged him with her chin resting on Ashton’s shoulder, “so what have you been up to?” she asked though the giggles, “having fun around all of your smarty pants friends?”
Serena had never been what adults would call a proper young lady. She loved hanging out with her best friend and wasn’t afraid to play in the mud. She would often be found climbing a tree when wearing a dress, but no one could tell her what to do. She had always had a mind of her own, and she was determined to keep it that way.

Now she wore a Purple tee shirt which had a picture of her favorite muggle singer Justin Bebier on the front along with pink skinny jeans and black flats. No one would have called her stylish, but no one would have the nerve to say it to her face either. Most of her family was afraid she’d blow up on them for having said so and demand new pretty cloths. The rest just didn’t care.
“Where’s Dukey?” Rena asked, “He and Socks need to have another play date soon, if they don’t Socksy will be very upset!” She wore a big smile on her face as she chattered about the two cats. “Oh how about we have it out by the lake?!” She squealed in Ashton’s ear, “They would have so much fun!”
“Have you seen Prince anywhere? I haven’t talked to him in Forever!” she said forgetting what she had be talking about just a few moments before. “I miss him, and I missed my best friend! Have you been avoiding me?” She asked with a serious look on her face. There were only two people who could tell if she was serious or not, those two were Ashton and Prince. They could always tell if she was playing around and joking with them or if she were truly upset and hurt. This was one of the times where she was just joking but who would understand that besides Ashton?

"Oh! Hey Rena!" the young Ravenclaw boy exclaimed at his best friend came up behind him and hugged him. "Yes, we do!" the boy nodded. "I feel like I haven't seen you in forever!" he really wasn't lying. It felt like it had been forever since he last saw his friend, though it really hadn't been that long. Ashton just wasn't used to being somewhere without his best friend. He couldn't help but smile at her question. "They're all okay. But none of them are as fun as you Rena." he laughed. Truth be told he really didn't like most of the people in his house. Most of them just stuck their noses in books and studied all day. There were some of them he liked, but not many.

Ashton's attire wasn't what you would usually see him in today. If his family saw him in the clothes he was currently wearing, they would freak out. He wore a plain black and blue tee shirt and black with blue jeans along with black sneakers. At least something was normal about his clothing, the fact that it had blue in it, as most of this clothes usually did. The young boy looked around for his cat when Rena asked where he was. "Oh, I don't know. He was here with me a few seconds ago. That darn cat must've run off when I wasn't looking." he sighed heavily. "He'll be back though, I know he will." he grinned.

"Perfect!" Ashton clapped his hands together as her suggestion. "Just as soon as Dukey appears of course." he laughed. "He gets hungry fast, so he'll be back. He's a fat cat." Ash continued to laugh. Ashton blinked a couple of times before answering her question about her brother. "Come to think of it, I haven't." he said. "At all. Although, it doesn't surprise me because I'm not in the same house as you two." he sighed. The serious look on her face obviously didn't fool him and he grinned widely. "Of course not! You know I'd never do that!" he smiled at her.

“It has seemed like forever!” Rena exclaimed, “Don’t make it seem so long next time!” she gave him a big kiss on the cheek before releasing him and taking a seat next to her best friend. “They better not be more fun than me! I’m the Queen of Fun Times!” she giggled some more and played with the ends of her hair as he looked for Dukey. “Maybe he ran off to find Socks! I love our fat cats! They are so fun to play with. Too bad Socks is getting old, he doesn’t like to play as much anymore.” She sighed and looked around for a minute hoping to spot Dukey. “Prince is so hard to find here. I wish we were back at home then we’d know where he was at.” She sighed then looked back up at him with a big smile, “Good because you know if you were I’d have to kick your butt.” She looked at him one eye brow raised then continued to giggle.
The young girl studied her best friend for a moment. Something was different after a little bit she finally said “What’s with all the black? It’s not a good color for you. More blue next time please!” She bit her lip and tilted her head to the side, “Maybe a little bit of gray and white but not so much black.” She picked up one of the books and flipped through it like she would one of her parents books that she didn’t enjoy reading. “OH you know what would be perfect for you?! A baby blue shirt with white and gray jeans! You’d look SOOOO cute in that!” She looked up at him her eyes bright with excitement at the realization. She was so happy for thinking of the perfect solution to his wardrobe that she dropped the book she was holding and jumped up and down while clapping.
