Zoë looked up from the table to glance at the new comer. She didn't really know what to say so she nodded in the young girls direction. After a few minutes she took another sip of her drink. Just then Professor Tiquelle stood and announce the house winner. "Looks like we lost again this time." She let out another sigh.

"Yeh just call me Mari.Mariana is too serious name." replied Mariana to Rory before she heard house cup annoucment.They were 2nd.How dissapointing. "Well we lost again.Maybe next year." she said with a sigh taking a cup of fire whiskey.

"Um, I meant her actually" Rory said pointing to the girl who said 'looks like we lost again this time.' She shrugged and smiled. "It is only a friendly competition..the Slytherins don't look..happy" Rory said, aloud, randomly.

"We didn't loose, we came second. We nearly won." Ben pointed out. He wished they had won. He was determined to win next year, no matter what it took. He couldn't stand to loose again, he could get very competitive.

The food magically appeared in front of them. Ben grabbed some chicken and began to eat it. He wasn't greedy, just hungry. He hadn't eaten since lunch that day.

Over the top of her glass, Zoë looked up at the new girl. She had meant her. "Sorry. I'm Zoë, nice to meet you." She was right about it being just a fun competition but it was still sad that they always got so close but never actually won it.

Mariana saw the food magically appearing around the table so she took a fresh fried piece of turkey and put it on the plate starting to eat it slowly.

"Well only thing we can actually do is make bigger effort next term.Cheers for that!" Mariana said rising her cup of fire whiskey high in the air.She very much cheered for all kinds of things,

Ben raised his glass along with Mariana. "Yeah, cheers to making a bigger effort next term." he agreed, determined. He wasn't usually the most ambitious or the most competitive person, but he loved his house and wanted to see them win.

Ben drunk some of his pumpkin juice and went back to eating his food. He was starving.

A small smile made its way to Zoë's face. She raise her glass to cheer along with her house mates. If only she could be a little more excited.

"I haven't fully introduced myself but...I am a sister of Daniel Valantine...Long lost sister actually" Rory admitted after she had a few sips of her drink. She gently placed the drink frimly on the table and waited for reactions.
