[[OOC: My longest post in...a year and a half RPing. 1108 words.]]
Davina was aimlessly walking around the many places in Hogsmeade when she finally ended up by the Shrieking Shack. She was thinking about...everything. She had made so many decisions in the past few days she was trying to make sense of it all. So much had happened it had all gone past in a blur; people, events, emotions and decisions alike.
Death Eaters. An organisation which supports the Dark Lord and his quest to conquer the Wizarding World. Where her Alliance was since three days ago. One boy, one man. One gain, one loss. It was such great timing, everything. It was ready, it was all falling into place. She would be a part of it, she would make a difference. She would avenge the death of her father. That, she was certain of. That, she was determined of.
The Ministry. The Aurors. What had they done? True, her parents were almost completely emotionless but her mother must be having some horrible reaction. Her mother would have her sister and brother-in-law to help her cope though, Davina remembered. It was almost as if she wasn't needed. She would help in a very different way though, yes, she was going to play her part.
The Battle of Hogwarts. It was almost here. It was almost complete. Soon, they would be put in their place. She would make sure of that. She would go against anyone who went against her family. Her family had done nothing wrong, just got caught in the middle. They had picked one of the few people she was close to, and now, now they would pay.
Davina begin to think on her reasoning. The Death Eaters were attacking. The Order would defend, obviously, but she doubted they would be any real match for them. After all, she thought, they didn't even use Dark Magic, let alone the unforgivables! The Order wouldn't even have a chance. They might bring in 'Dumbledore's Army', though that would be like a joke. As if students could defeat any adults, let alone Death Eaters! They were so nieve.
They would bring the Aurors in, right? The Order would have no choice, considering how much better the Death Eaters were. They had the upper hand talent-wise, the surprise advantage and they used Dark Magic and the unforgiveables. The Aurors weren't actually much better, she reasoned, but they were just more people. A lot of them would be killed, she presumed, but the 'light' side would have a few more fighting for them that way, she figured. It would be more logical to use Dark Magic and the unforgiveables, but of course, they were too high-and-mighty to do anything like that.
There was no good nor bad in the world, only power, and those too weak to seek it. Davina remembered the Dark Lord's quote. He was right. She wasn't good or bad. She wasn't weak, either. She was going to be powerful, she was going to be the cleverest. She was going to be on top. She wasn't going to fail. She wasn't bad. She was great. She was going to be great. She knew it, she could feel it. She smiled to herself and it reflected on her face. She couldn't wait.
Davina still wasn't in reality. It was like she was in a trance, doing what she thought was right, what she thought she should do. She was being manipulated, was being controlled by someone...that someone she thought was her, well, you couldn't exactly call it her friend. Davina was merely a piece in a much larger game. Not even an important piece, a minor one.
Davina was walking around like she was in a trance, too. Around and around and around. Circling Hogsmeade. By herself, naturally. The Dark Lord didn't want her to spread around her new alliance. She was a Ravenclaw, a goody-two-shoes, a know-it-all, the typical shy and geeky girl who nobody really liked. They would all be shocked when they found out about her. She wasn't going to be a nobody, she was going to be a somebody. She was making sure of that.
Davina smiled to herself, thinking of what the future held for her. She didn't like hiding her alliance, but she wouldn't do anything to displease the Dark Lord. His word was law, if you disobeyed it, you were out. Permanently. She began thinking about after the Battle. She would kill as many Aurors as possible, to make sure the one who killed her father was no longer around. She would then have to hunt for anyone else involved, as Thomas had reminded her. They weren't the only ones responsible, many, many more were. Together, the Dark Lord and the Death Eaters, they would take control. She was his loyal servant and she would be beside him. She wanted a say in how things ran as well. He probably trusted her, even though she was new. She was clever. Not many Death Eaters were that bright, let alone as clever as she was. That was bound to count for something, the Dark Lord wasn't stupid. He always chose the most able person for the job, one day, that would be her. She smiled. Everything was going according to plan. Excellent.
It was as Davina approached the Shrieking Shack that she returned to reality once more. She was quite far gone, but this wasn't exactly the quietest thing in the universe. Spells. Of all nature, flying up in the air. The air? That was what shocked her the most. Why were spells being fired upwards? It made no sense to Davina. She looked back down to earth, to see who the caster was. Chase? Chase was a happy girl who tried to talk to Davina. But now, now she was...crying? Davina saw her fall down on her knees, she appeared to be saying something but she couldn't tell what it was. She was just there. Casting spells, crying and talking to herself.
Davina didn't really want to go right over to her. After all, they weren't that close. Chase had tried to get her to talk, which surprised her, as most people ignored her. Still, Chase had given up and told her that she would dress her in some 'cute' clothes one day. Davina doubted Chase was in a mood to be dressing her now. She took a few more steps towards the girl, but didn't want to be too close to her. She made sure she hovered back, to give Chase her space. Everyone needed space, especially when they were in a state like this, she thought.
