Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Shrieking Shack Empty Shrieking Shack

Post by Khaat Lupin Sun Mar 07, 2010 3:00 pm

Khaat had gone out jogging. The first she'd felt like it in a long time. She had moved back home with Rob, and Rob had gotten her back on her feet. She needed a good run. She decided just to jog around the neighborhood and ended up more or less going through town.

As she passed the shrieking shack, she thought she saw a tiny orange kitten zip into the building. She frowned. That was no place for a teensy baby that sized. She diverted her route and went into the shack, looking carefully for the kitten to rescue it.

Shrieking Shack Empty Re: Shrieking Shack

Shacklebolt was starting to grow bored of being a ghost. Really, NONE of the Hogwarts ghosts had even bothered mentioning to him how boring it could be too be a ghost. He was starting to wonder why he hadn't asked Peeves how to be a poltergeist. Just yesterday, he had tried to open and read a book that had been lying on a desk upstairs in the abandoned house, but he could not open it! It was infuriating. The fact that he hadn't talked to anyone since his death was also annoying. He knew he could go anywhere he wanted and talk to whomever he wanted without getting in any harm, but he was at the current moment, keeping his coming back as a ghost as a secret. He would wait for the opportune moment to show that he was indeed alive. Well not alive, but whatever.

He was floating upstairs in the room he had claimed, looking out the window with an angry frown. The weather was nice, bright and sunny. The people must be enjoying it, something that annoyed Shacklebolt. The image of happy students, spending time at the Three Broomsticks and chatting to each other without a care in the world angered him. As he watched, he saw a woman job down the trail to the Shrieking Shack. Suddenly, he realised who it was, Khaat! She went right into the Shrieking Shack, an act few would do. Bored as he was, Shacklebolt decided to scare her a bit, before revealing himself. He needed someone to talk to after all. Floating downstairs, and hiding, he prepared to surprise her.

Shrieking Shack Empty Re: Shrieking Shack

OOC: Yes, they can, if they summon up enough energy to do polterguist levels of activity. The best example that I can come up with off the top of my head, actually is in the movie, Ghost, with Swayze, ironically enough. Sad, isn't it?

Khaat went inside and saw the kitten dart down a hallway, chasing some sort of flying bug, and into another room. Just how dumb was this cat anyway? Rob would have her for breakfast for coming in here alone, she knew that. Oh well, it surely would not be the first tiime. She walked down the hallway, following the cat, and saw the little bugggar, leaping into the air to catch the bug it had been chasing. "There you are!" she said. "Immobulus!" she fired wandless magic at the kitten and froze it in midair. That had been some nice "shooting." Too bad nobody had been around to see it. She went over, plucked the kitten out of mid air, and stuffed it in her oversized black shoulderbag that she usually carried. Rescue complete. No bloodshed. Success!
