Shacklebolt was starting to grow bored of being a ghost. Really, NONE of the Hogwarts ghosts had even bothered mentioning to him how boring it could be too be a ghost. He was starting to wonder why he hadn't asked Peeves how to be a poltergeist. Just yesterday, he had tried to open and read a book that had been lying on a desk upstairs in the abandoned house, but he could not open it! It was infuriating. The fact that he hadn't talked to anyone since his death was also annoying. He knew he could go anywhere he wanted and talk to whomever he wanted without getting in any harm, but he was at the current moment, keeping his coming back as a ghost as a secret. He would wait for the opportune moment to show that he was indeed alive. Well not alive, but whatever.
He was floating upstairs in the room he had claimed, looking out the window with an angry frown. The weather was nice, bright and sunny. The people must be enjoying it, something that annoyed Shacklebolt. The image of happy students, spending time at the Three Broomsticks and chatting to each other without a care in the world angered him. As he watched, he saw a woman job down the trail to the Shrieking Shack. Suddenly, he realised who it was, Khaat! She went right into the Shrieking Shack, an act few would do. Bored as he was, Shacklebolt decided to scare her a bit, before revealing himself. He needed someone to talk to after all. Floating downstairs, and hiding, he prepared to surprise her.
