Detention!! [[Benjamin Macmillan and Sterling Silver]]

Ben had no idea what the banishing charm was, so he was glad when Sterling offered to do it himself. He assumed it was something he would learn in the next few years, though he doubted he would be any good at it anyway. He wasn't that good at spells in general. "Ok." he agreed.

"Mobiliarus!" Ben said, hoping it would work properly this time. He picked a box of tea leaves first, just in case. He concentrated on moving the box from one side of the room to the other. He had almost got it to the wardrobe when it fell down. He was glad it wasn't tea cups. He pushed the box about a meter along the floor, so it was in place. Manual labour would be faster at this rate, he thought. "I'm getting the hang of it." he told Sterling, somewhat truthfully.

Sterling regarded the boy again pleasantly. "Thank-you. Wingardium leviosa!" he said, stacking another box on top of it. He glanced nervously at the the Professor, who appeared to still be reading without paying them any heed. Looking at his watch, he realized half an hour had already passed. He nonverbally pointed his wand at a box, thinking Mobiliarus!. The box didn't move. He began trying to do everything non-verbally. Wingardium leviosa being his favorite spell, he was able to do it with relative success, and kept himself entertained while the Ben struggled with the spell. Sterling struggled twice as much as Ben because he was attempting to do it non-verbally.

Only half an hour later, Sterling noticed the boxes were almost all stacked. Strangely, he didn't want the punishment to end. He remembered the bit of swamp that still stood monument of Fred and George Weasley. No wonder they got in so much trouble, he thought to himself. It's rather fun.

Ben was casting his spell when he heard...nothing. He turned around to see what Sterling was doing. Nonverbal spells, Ben realised. He hadn't been very good at non-verbal spells, heck, he couldn't do lots of spells verbally yet! "Mobiliarus." he said, and he watched the box slowly fly across the room and down onto the floor. He'd finally done it without it crashing! He was quite pleased with himself. Sterling was now having trouble, he saw. He kept his smirk to himself though, as he might need help later with something, knowing him.

Ben was feeling more confidant now. Too confidant. "Mobiliarus." he said once more, though he wasn't concentrating. He dropped a box of tea sets on the floor. Swearing, he walked over to where they had dropped. "Reparo." he said, but nothing seemed to happen. "Sterling...?" he asked, hoping Sterling could fix them.

Sterling strutted over to the broken tea set confidently. He pointed his wand at it and thought in his mind Reparo! Nothing happened. He cleared his throat. "Reparo!" Still, there was no effect. He had the horrible feeling that it was some kind of enchanted china. "Reparo!!" he repeated tapping it with his wand. It gave a feeble lurch but didn't mend itself. "Er... Professor?" he asked tentatively, embarrassed.

Professor Tiquelle was reading a muggle fiction book, Murder on the Orient Express by Agatha Christie. She peered over the top of her book when she heard Mr. Silver calling her. Oh. They had broken some china. They were having trouble reparing it. She knew why, though she didn't feel like sharing the reason as to why the cups were enchanted with the students. She put her book down and took her wand out of her pocket. She pointed it at the box and cast a nonverbal spell. The cups repared instantly. "There you go, boys." she said, not telling them off at all. She had guessed one of them would break something sooner or later.

Immensely relieved, Sterling continued, much less carelessly and cautiously this time. He didn't want to break any more... the look on Professor Tequille's face when she repaired it made him not want to appear weak again. "Sorry Professor," he mumbled and continued moving boxes. Glancing nervously at Ben to ensure he wasn't having any trouble.

Ben felt bad for breaking them. He was glad they were easily repared though. "Yeah, sorry Professor." he told her. He wouldn't be so careless again. "Sorry." he muttered to Sterling, as they had wasted time with that one box. "Mobiliarus." he said, moving a box of tea leaves. He got it to the exact place he wanted. Yes! he thought. If he was careful they wouldn't be here too long. Mobiliarus." he said again, attempting to move a box of tea sets this time. He nearly got them over to the wardrobe. He pushed the box along the floor, so it was in the right place. There weren't many boxes left he saw, much to his relief.

Sterling's heart leaped when the last few boxes made their way to being stacked on the desk. Wingardium leviosa! he thought again, pointing his wand. They started stacking themselves.

Ben saw one box at the other side of the room. "Mobiliarus!" he said, excited that it was the last one. He got it to the wardrobe, but he had no idea how to stack it. He hoped that Sterling would do that for him. Ben couldn't wait to get out of detention.

Sterling decided to do the very last box manually. He set it up on top of the others with a grunt. "We're done, Professor!" Sterling sang eagerly.
