Detention!! [[Benjamin Macmillan and Sterling Silver]]

Professor Tiquelle was sitting in her office. She was marking some of the NEWT exams. She was tired, but she really wanted to get them done. She hated them almost as much as the students. She thought the practical side of Divination was much more important, but they still insisted on having a theory exam. She sighed.

Looking up at the clock, Professor Tiquelle saw it was five to seven. She had asked Mr. Macmillan and Mr. Silver to be at her office at seven for their detention. She hoped that they wouldn't be late, she would have to knock points of them if either of them were. She didn't want to, that was why she had given them a detention in the first place. She started putting away the papers in preparation for the detention.

Sterling rushed into the room. "Sorry Professor Tiquelle!" he said. He was late, but he thought maybe the teacher would be forgiving. After all, she had let them slide with nothing but a detention for dueling in the study room. She seemed like a nice teacher, and he was there before Ben the Hufflepuff, and seeing as she wouldn't want to take points away from her own house, he would be fine.

"Sorry I'm late," he croaked. He sat down cross her desk, trying to look innocent and respectful. "What were we going to do today in detention today professor?

Ben walked into the Professor's Office. He was a minute or two late, but he didn't mind. He doubted the Professor would be very strict. He saw that Sterling was already in there. He wondered if he had been really early or late like himself. "Sorry I'm late." he said, casually, though not meaning it too much. He wasn't really that bothered with the detention, to be quite honest. "What are we doing?" he asked her.

Professor looked at the clock when each of the boys entered her classroom. Mr. Silver was a minute late and Mr. Macmillan was a few more. She wouldn't bother taking points off them for that. "Good evening, boys." she said, smiling. She wasn't going to give them too hard a time, it was nearly the end of term, after all. "You see those boxes over there?" she said, pointing to some boxes over the other side of the classroom. "One has boxes of tea leaves in and one has tea sets in." she told the boys. "I'd like you to stack the tea sets on the middle shelf of my cupboard and the small boxes of tea leaves can go on the top shelf." she told them. She didn't feel like taking them into the forest or lines, they might as well do something useful for her. She didn't see the point in those kind of detentions, she usually got students to help her out. "It might be easier if you move the two big boxes next to the cupboard first." she added, smiling.

Sterling got to work moving the boxes. This detention wasn't nearly as bad as he had expected. He'd never received any form of punishment before and didn't want to start now... but now that he HAD gotten in trouble, it didn't seem as bad as he'd always imagined it. He always imagined his life spiraling downward uncontrollably...

"Mobiliarus!" he said, pointing his wand at the boxes that needed to be moved.

Ben was glad he didn't have to do too much. He was glad that Sterling knew the spell to move the boxes, because he sure didn't. He had a feeling Sterling would have an advantage here. He watched him move the boxes with magic. He wondered if Professor Tiquelle would mind or not. It would be a lot easier if she didn't. "Mobiliarus!" he copied. The box rose up then crashed to the floor. He was lucky it wasn't the box with the tea sets, he thought. "Ok, I need to learn that spell!" he said, hoping Sterling would help him. Sterling would be alone in this otherwise.

Professor Tiquelle smiled as Ben said he needed to learn the spell. She would normally have not let them use magic, but she thought it would be a good way to help them get along if Mr. Silver taught Mr. Macmillan that. "You can leave when everything is done." she told them, guessing it wouldn't take too long for them. No more than an hour and a half, anyway. She got out a book from her desk drawer and began to read.

"Oh, er... Ben here." Sterling offered seizing his own wand. "Point at it like you normally would, but as it usually is with spells, focusing on the content you intend to have occur rather than the incantation itself." he began. "Since this is a type of hovering charm, it may be appropriate to incorporate the swish and flick wand movement that is often used for wingardium leviosa. It's hovering for movement's sake, but hovering none the less." he continued. Sterling thought that, especially for a second year, Ben was advanced in magic. He hoped that amount of direction would suffice. For good measure, he mimed the wand movement.

Ben listened to Sterling, nodding. He was a Ravenclaw, he was bound to be clever, he assumed. Ben had been focussing on the name rather than what he wanted to happen before. "Ok, I'll try again." he said, nodding. "Mobiliarus!" he tried once more, with the swish and flick movement. He moved the box across the room, but was so astonished he did it it dropped down without him expecting. "I kind of did it." he said, laughing. It was next to the cupboard now, that was what counted. He walked over towards the box. Now he had to put it all neatly in there. He wondered if he could do that by magic or if it would have to be done manually.

"Er... we can use the banishing charm for finesse if you want," Sterling offered, but realized he had barely learned that one himself only recently, his fourth year. Based on this, he found it unlikely that Ben would know it. He was kind of amazed he was working so hard to help the boy he had so openly despised only the day before.

"I'll, use the Banishing Charm." Sterling offered. "You keep practicing mobiliarus, bring them close and I'll banish them into place." he said, pointing to the first two boxes that were looking hastily put there. It seemed manual labor would be faster, but not as fun. He muttered the incantation for the banishing charm and put the first box neatly where it was supposed to be. [b]"Wingardium leviosa!" he said, and stacked the second box neatly on top of the first.

"Enchant some more boxes toward me," he requested, with an encouraging smile.
