Sophia looked at the Sphinx with interest she never seen one ever in
real life but she had read about them and knew they attack if you don't
answer there riddles correctly. As she went back to her notes and noticed Jess raised his hand.

"Why did you bring a sphinx here, if we're not going to see it form anything but far range. What was the point? Don't you normally get a choice with sphinxes? Why don't you let us go see it, and it can ask us it's question, and we can leave if we don't know it?" he asked

"Well its very dangerous," he said hesitantly. "Very well then, Jess you can come and try to earn the sphinx's trust by answering its riddle. And if you get hurt it'll be your fault."

Mariana looked with eyes wide opened at Professor Shacklebolt.She grabbed Jess for his hand terryfied: "Don't do it!" was one thing she managed to say.

Jess turned around and winked at her. "I'll be fine, if i don't know the answer to the riddle i'll not attempt it, but if i win, Sphinxes are meant to guard treasure, so maybe i'll strike it lucky." he said to her smiling before heading up to the cave
