Background: ((Bloody sick of this)) At the age of 17 James graduated from Hogwarts with Outstanding on all his N.E.W.Ts. He then proceeded to get a job in the department of misus of magic. Where he quickly rose through the ranks to become head of department. At about this point in time James' mother died, and James was grief stricken for weeks. However, when he returned to his job he'd obtained the most useful skill of all. The skill to supress unfortunate memories. After this someone noticed he had a nack with his offensive spells, so he was transfered to the Auror's office, becoming the second in charge. However, at about this point Rufus Scriegmore was made the Minister for Magic, leaving the position of Head of the Auror department open, and he was the obvious choice. Soon after, rufus was dead, and thicknesse was sacked for disobeying voldemort, which meant he wasn't sacked, he was killed. And yet again, the best candidate for the job was James. Sadly though, after he was nominated, the day before the voting, his father died, making James drop out of the running, to return home and mourn. When he returned, James wasn't the same person. He became alienated, he had no friends, and he hated almost everything. Several years later, more elections for tfor the minister for magic were held, and seeing as most people knew he could do the job, he was elected with an almost unanimous vote.
Short Roleplay: James strode into his office and slammed the doors shut behind him. "OUT!" He snapped at several startled assistants who quickly scurried out of his office, through one of the side doors. Today had been hell for the minister. First the vampires were revolting in hogwarts, next the muggles were trying to kill them all. What was next? But no, he wouldn't allow himself to think of such things, knowing that if he did, something else would happen, and it would be a right pain. He looked up at the window in his office and smiled, one of the few occasions he did such a thing, as he saw his owl land with a response form the muggle prime minister. Opening the letter with a smile, which was soon to disapeear, he began to read.
Dear Mr. Roland,It read.
I strongly advise you remoive all your kind from my world, and tell them to hide under their rocks. We will be begining persecutions, and anyone suspected of wizardry will be killed on sight. in response to your letter though, no, i will not give you a truce, it's either victory, or loss. Either one. Yours sincerely, ((Bugger i can't remember his name. William Renolds?))
William Renolds, Prime Minister. With a growl James crumpled the letter up, before storming back out of his office, ignoring the look of shock on his receptionsist's face.
