The female fairy woke not long after Aria and Ruby had gone to take the girls to Evan's. Angus fed her more tea. The little male got Angus' attention and pointed to the bowl for more bath water. Marcus took the bowl and put fresh warm water in it, and the little male pointed to the book. Angus put it back in place, and then the little male fairy helped the female behind the book, and Angus understood. He was helping his mate with a bath.
As she was bathing, Angus and Marcus heard the babies waking. Marcus went up, changed them both and brought them down and gave them some fruit and some dry cereal to eat as finger foods. He gave them bottles of milk and let them simply sit on the floor to eat. After all, the floor was clean, and the babies were happy.
As the babies were babbling and eating, the fairies clearly heard the babies. It made them curious. When the female finished her bath, the male fluttered into the air, looking for the babies. When he finally found them, he fluttered around them, looking at them. Angus held his hand down to the female, who walked over to his hand and sat down. Angus showed her the babies, and she smiled. Both fairies seemed delighted by them.
Edward and Simone came over, and Simone was thrilled to see fairies. Edward had brought some fresh small corinth grapes, and he picked them off the stems, rinsed them, and put some on a saucer for the fairies, setting them out for them. The fairies wasn't sure what they were, but the male tried one, and he actually managed three of them all by himself. The female had one, and Angus could tell they were going to be big fans of the tiny grapes.
"You might have to keep them in champagne grapes, Edward," Angus said. "They like those a lot."
"Well, I'd be happy to do that, or we could move them to Tuscany where they could have all the grapes they could eat," Edward said. "The female looks a good deal better today. I think she had a narrow escape, thanks to you and Marcus."
"Could we impose up on you and take the girls with us? We'd like to take the babies out with us for a bit," Simone asked.
"Certainly," Angus said.
"Wonderful," she was delighted. "We'll bring them back eventually." She scooped up Caprice, and Edward picked up Diamond.
"And where are you heading? Some big adventure, no doubt?"
"We're taking them to the children's zoo and meeting some of our friends with their grandchildren. It's a lovely day for a walk and a day out. So, we've decided to make a day of it," Edward said.
"Then, by all means, take them and have a great time," Angus said.
"Thank you," Edward said. "We'll see you later." They took the babies, grabbed their gear for the outing and apparated out.
"Well, that emptied the house out fast," Marcus laughed. "It's just us and the fairies."
"It certainly did. I guess I'll go out and get a start on getting the garden in shape for the season."
"Okay. I'll bring the fairies out for some fresh air, and while you garden, I'll do the fairysitting," Marcus replied.
"Okay," Angus said, going outside. Marcus brought the little basket the fairies had slept in and both fairies outside.
