03 -- Faction Recruitment

There are four factions on Potter's Army.  

From the Harry Potter books, you'll recognise The Order of the Phoenix and The Death Eaters (although these factions have changed dramatically on this site so we encourage you to read about their current incarnations below).  

We also have two student factions.  Potter's Army is more or less the Dumbledore's Army of the 21st Century.  The Dark Followers are a student-led group who align themselves with the values of the Death Eaters.

Potter's Army

Current Leaders: Ace Longbottom
Communication: Charmed Galleons
Meeting Place: The Room of Requirement

Now that Ace has possession of the Marauder's Map, the PA is back to properly keeping an eye on the castle and protecting their classmates - especially where a certain Slytherin named Pavo is concerned.

They're in the process of training Barbara O'Sullivan to take on the club when they graduate at the end of the year, hoping that she'll be committed to carrying on the legacy that Ace refused to let die.

The Dark Followers

Current Leader: Pavo Hitchens
Meeting Place: An empty classroom in the dungeons

While there are no other members of The Dark Followers,  Pavo Hitchens' main activity is harassing Ace Longbottom.

The Order of the Phoenix

Current Leader: Sorrel Brocklebank
Communication: Patronus
Meeting Place: Unknown Location

After 12 Grimmauld Place was burned down - injuring the leader of the Order in the process - Sorrel Brocklebank stepped up to take over as leader of The Order of the Phoenix

The REAL Death Eaters

Current Leader: Virgil Levi
Communication: TBD
Meeting Place: D'Eath Manor

Lorcan D'Eath's concillatory attitude toward both the Ministry and The Order has led to the emergence of a new faction calling themselves The Real Death Eaters.

About Joining a Faction

Sometimes factions engage in fights, battles and other activities where your character will be put at risk.  By joining a faction, you're agreeing to play out these scenarios in a fair and balanced way.  
Joining a faction is also a declaration of alignment with that faction's side.  Although the general wizarding public don't know the members of each faction, the members of the other factions may recognise your character.  Spies and double agents won't be allowed.

Why does your character want to join up?
If you'd ask him, Stephen wouldn't even know of the existence of the Potter's Army until it hit him in face. Nevertheless, the values he possesses are pretty much the same as any person who would want to make a difference.
Yet, I believe that wouldn't be what the leaders were looking for, but other the personal why would he want to be in a fight when he could pretty much by sitting in the sofa reading about the very same fights in the Daily Prophet. The answer to that is easy: it's a personal thing (or it will be, not wanting to leave any spoilers for what is coming his way).

Faction: Potter's Army

Why does your character want join up? Alva's the kind of girl that always lifts someones spirits, and I could see her doing that for the whole faction. She also can't stand a bully, and that is what she thinks the Death Eaters are - a group of bullies. There's something inside her that pushes her to do the right thing, and that would be her main goal in Potter's Army. The Death Eaters pose a threat to everything that she stands for, and they pose a threat to her family and friends, and she would do anything to protect the people and things that she loves.
