OMG so there's this stupid ball tampering cricket scandal going on here at the moment, and the guys get on TV, cry a bit about how they're "good people who made a bad mistake" and half the country's ready to forgive them.
I really don't think Australians realise how the rest of the world perceives us. Like we are such bad sports, and we have made such a big deal when this has happened with other teams - even calling for lifetime bans - but as soon as it happens to "our boys" it's oh they should be forgiven.
UH no. They play that game for a living. If I broke the rules at my job I'd be fired, and for a good reason. They deserve everything they get (and more, since they didn't get much). I'm soooo angry that people are saying we should feel sorry for them. This is happening at the same time as a child in an Australian run offshore detention centre was being denied psychological treatment by the government, but the high court decision for that wasn't cutting into my regular viewing. That wasn't considered "breaking news" I am SO ANGRY.
