Molly was still trying to figure out what to do, if there was anything to be done. Instinct told her to just leave, pick a different corner of the party, get quietly trashed on her own and forget another holiday with the help of Jack and Jose. But something kept her rooted and if she were a little more willing to trust her own intentions, she might have recognized the sensation for what it was.

Charlotte asked for another drink and Molly shifted back, reaching out to grab Charlotte's arm. "Come on, Charlotte, I'll go with you."
"No, it's fine," Margo said, reaching for a nearby bottle. "Besides, once Belby answers, the boys need to think up a dar for the girls." She grinned around at the girls, saying, "Because we won't chicken out like they did."
"Margo," Molly said, "Charlotte-"
"Can choose for herself," Margo finished, holding the bottle out to Waldorf. She offered the girl a warm smile along with the bottle as Molly's hand fell away.
