Welcome to Potter’s Army

Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Start of Term, New Teaching Scheme Empty Start of Term, New Teaching Scheme

Post by Jess Potter Mon Jan 05, 2009 9:52 am

Hey guys, in every class you will find a message saying something about how we're starting a new scheme. It's going to have the OWLs and NEWTs. Go to any class, and it will have instructions, or just scroll down. Any questions, go to the charms announcement, and ask me there.
Peace
((Please note: Teachers, you need to start 3 classes now.
NEWT class
OWL Class
and 'Potions, charms, transfiguration etc.' Class. They need to be working at different levels of difficulty, learning different things. All classes go a maximum of 6 days))

All terms go 6 weeks, this is the final term of the year.

Well howdy there guys, as you know, Term has started. This term, we 're introducing a new teaching scheme. The one where we teach different levels of class to each student year level. This will be occuring in all classes so please just do as i tell you too. If you are in the 7th year, you will be taking part in the NEWT class, the hardest, most advanced class. If you are in the 5th year, you will partake the OWL class, the second hardest, reasonably advanced class. And lst but not least, if you're in ANY other year group, you take place in the normal class. Comprende? Well i hope so as i've it should be fairly simple for you all.

Anyhoo, this should go for most classes, teachers can edit this, or tell me to edit this if the need too.

1. No fighting
2. No off topic talking
3. Come to class if you're a registered student
4. Get the work done
5. Do as you're told, show some respect to your professor

No, you're in the general class Mari. Not OWL, Not NEWT. Just class.
Also, thank you for accepting it Zoe, i'm expecting some angry teachers.

I thought NEWT were for 7th years. I didnt think everyone had to take them only those who attended their 7th year.

Yes, you teach the 6th years the same thing as you teach the 1-4 years, but only on your subject. If they choose to drop that subject before 6th year, or if the never take it up, they just don't post there at all. Students don't have to go to EVERY single class that's offered, they may choose to drop potions in the 5th year, or decide herbology isn't for them in the 6th year. Or think History of magic isn't their cup of tea in the 7th year.
