GENERAL APPEARANCE: Carlisle is generally well dressed. He is athletic in build, and stand 6'2 weighing 190 lbs. He generally wears a scruffy face, with a messy haircut. Carlisle almost always wears a button up shirt, even out of school uniforms and is rarely seen in shorts unless he is taking part in physical activity. He likes to be casual and comfortable, but still looking sharp.If you were to have to pick him out  of a line up you would know it was him by his chiseled jawline and athletic build.




TRAITS: Carlisle is loyal to a fault, he is as brave as they come, and he works extremely hard to be perfect at everything. However, Carlisle has a wicked bad temper, he tends to stick to himself, and he has terrible nightmares that give him great anxiety.

LIKES & DISLIKES: Carlisle likes all things athletic, whether it be a jog around the school grounds or a good game of quidditch. He also enjoys reading and writing, although he doesn't like to admit it. Carlisle doesn't like weak people, eggs, or people who back down when needed.

GOAL: Carlisle's biggest goal is to graduate from Hogwarts in one piece and find a fulfilling career with the Ministry when he leaves.

EARLY YEARS: From birth Carlisle grew up without a mother, only having a father figure in the house. While his father was a writer who was always busy he tried to make the best time for Carlisle that he could and was always very loving. Unfortunately, there were times when young Carlisle pretty much had to raise himself. Extended family members blamed young Carlisle for his mothers' death because she died immediately after giving birth to him. Carlisle started as a very scrawny boy who was picked on until his father started helping him learn to play sports; when this didn't begin to help Ripken informed his son that he was a wizard and there was a chance Carlisle would be too; but nothing out of the ordinary had ever happened. Ripken had never performed magic in front of Carlisle and to this day he doesn't understand why.

HOGWARTS YEARS: Carlisle was absolutely ecstatic to receive his Hogwarts letter in the post on that fateful Monday morning. The thought of not being a wizard scared him, he never wanted to disappoint his father and wasn't sure where he'd fit in the muggle world. He knew that going to Hogwarts would be a wonderful experience from what his father had told him and he was excited to get away for awhile. His first years at Hogwarts were a little rough and he had a difficult time making friends. Everyone else had a mother, and is was evident in the way they treated each other. He never really had a nurturing experience, so he could be rather cold at times and his temper would frighten people away. Whenever something went wrong Carlisle would flash back to his muggle relatives telling him that he was worthless and had murdered his mother. This discouraged him greatly and he even considered taking a year off. His father suggested during his third year that he try quidditch, and hope to make some friends on the team. Eventually he began to play quidditch which forced him to stay on top of his studies or he wouldn't be allowed to play. This also helped him channel his anger on the pitch rather than exploding in classrooms. Because Carlisle has nightmares about his mother and doesn't sleep well he has a tendency to be more angry and brooding throughout the day. When people talk out of turn, or don't give their everything in certain aspects of their lives Carlisle becomes rather irritated with them. He also hates people who ask what he considers to be meaningless questions. This probably stems from a life of trying to be perfect and find the answers to everything himself, even if there is an easier way. He eventually became enthralled with his defense against the dark arts classes as well as transfiguration. Throughout his years as he grew he became increasingly more handsome and started to receive more and more attention, but he was still socially awkward because he wasn't accustomed to people approaching him. Now, entering what should be his final year, Carlisle is hoping to finish strong, and continue playing quidditch so very well. He is starting to question whether he wants to work for the Ministry or follow his fathers footsteps as an author.

Carlisle is nearly there! We've just got a few things to mop up first and then he'll be ready to set free into the world!

A little bit house keeping, first, though. You'll need to change your username to Carlisle's name. It'll be in the profile tab. You should be able to change it yourself but if you have any trouble, let me know.

Another thing I wanted to throw out there -- is Carlisle related to Oliver Wood at all? They share a surname and obviously Oliver is a canon character. I write his son so if you wanted Carlisle to be Oliver's nephew or something like that, that could be something we could work out! If you just want them to coincidentally have the same surname, do you think you could leave a little note in the family section saying that Carlisle is unconnected to the canon family? Either one is great! It's just we need the distinctions otherwise players recalling the canon characters may get confused.

Finally, I just have a few questions about his temper. What is it that gets him riled up? Do people irritate him? Is he frustrated by not being able to get everything absolutely perfect all the time? He channels it through Quidditch, which is good, but why is he so angry in the first place? Because of his family or because of the other kids, maybe? It might be something worth looking into and exploring!

I am happy with him, I had two windows open at once editing and sent the wrong one; I would like him to be related to the canon Woods, and it would be awesome to write with you as his son.
