JUDAH LYWELLYN MONTAGUE [/size]
______________________________________________________________________________________
------------------------------------------------------------
INTRODUCTION------------------------------------------------------------
NICKNAMES/ALIAS: Llywellyn, Jude
Etymology of the Montague family name: The name "Graham" is from a Scottish surname which was originally derived from an English place name which probably meant "gravelly homestead" in Old English. The surname was first taken to Scotland in the 12th century by the Norman baron William de Graham. Montague is also the surname of Romeo in Shakespeare's famous play Romeo and Juliet. [src]
AGE: Tweny-Six
b.december 18 2003ALLEGIANCE: Death Eater
HOGWARTS HOUSE: Hogwarts,
Slytherin (Chosen by Himself), Gryffindor (Destined / Naturally)
WAND: Alder Wood, Augurey Feather, 12'' Slightly Yeilding
Alder is extremely rare, as many wandmakers will refuse to take wood from an alder. The ‘bleeding’, turning from white to red, is considered to be inauspicious. The few wands made of alder are often those with strongly opposing cores (such as Pheanoix Feathers, Augurey Feather), as the wood imposes balance.
Augureys, or Irish Phoenixes, were once associated with powerful Dark wands, as their cries were thought to signify an upcoming death. However, they were in reality never a strong Dark core, and were more accurately a powerful core for Potions. Misunderstood individuals may find themselves bonded to an augurey wand. [src]

APPEARANCE
------------------------------------------------------------
GENERAL APPEARANCE: Give a general description of your characters appearance. Consider what they look physically look like and what their fashion style is. How would we pick your character out in a crowded room?
Jaxson is by no means an unattractive man, he's fairly muscular, not too tan nor too pale. He stands right around six feet tall, his body thin yet muscular. He has pretty decent posture; his shoulders are always pulled back to make him seem confident, though he does slouch from time to time.
Judah's hair is a Taupe Brown deeper than the Mariana Trench, forever well-kept, yet consistently found rolling, twisting, between Judah's flitting fingers - never nervously, but as though soley for the sake of preventing the strands from falling flat, or becoming "too neat". The Taupe of his choppy hair is accompanied by a beautiful, celestial Powder Blue which seem to see through the soul (a mere flick of one of his eyebrows, arched subtlety above one of these mischievous Blues, convey a kind of disappointment & judgement so fierce as to tempt one to hastily run in the other direction. His teeth also aren't particularly white but they aren't terribly yellow - not due to a lack of personal hygiene, as he is particularly obsessive about personal hygienics & physical upkeep (though not to the extent of vanity; he is strangely modest for a typical wealthy Pureblood personality type). The blame could be put on his habit of the excessive smoking of cigarettes - but to the particularly observant individual, this small physical detail (the slight yellowing of his teeth), stands out in stark contrast against his otherwise very well-kept overall physical appearance & hygiene, & sets him apart from the wealthier members of the Montague family - & could be taken / seen as a subtle personal statement (not that Judah does not have the will or the monetary means of whitening his teeth to the extent of bleaching them until entirely, flawless, paper-white - but because he has chosen, even when faced with an all-too-easily acquired whitening, not to rid himself of this imperfection. Why would a wealthy young wizard from a prominent Pureblood family heritage settle for anything less than perfection, when they have means to achieve artificial flawlessness five times over?
This same statement is seen again, in regards to his more... distinguishing physical flaws - which could easily be rid of by means of expensive, artificial healing magic (akin to real-world, OOC plastic surgery); scars point his body, the most notable being the once-wounds that stretch across his back, shoulders, & smaller flecks of scar tissue across his face. Accompanying those permanent marks are others which have been inscribed into his flesh rather than inflicted. Once more, going against standard, or typical (stereotypical) Pureblood physical standards, Judah sports a host of muggle-inspired magic (Wizarding World) tattoos, with three scrawled across his chest, shoulder, & pelvis, accompanying scar tissue - as though, almost, in celebration of his battle wounds.
Judah has a tendency to dress formally (in obnoxiously expensive statement suits & formal wear) by the high expectations of his family, but is most comfortable - & more commonly spotted, wearing anything BUT Wizarding Robes, much to his family's dismay (thus he would never, if he could help it, be seen in such attire by his "self respecting" (in their words) Pureblooded Heritage. This informal wardrobe more often than not consists of black leather, denim articles, flat-bill baseball caps & dark sunglasses.

CHARACTER HISTORY
------------------------------------------------------------
MONTAGUE FAMILY HISTORY
Fred Weasley: "He never managed to get all the words out, due to the fact that we forced him head-first into that Vanishing Cabinet on the first floor."
Hermione Granger: "But you’ll get into terrible trouble!"
Fred Weasley: "Not until Montague reappears, and that could take weeks, I dunno where we sent him."— Fred Weasley on him and his twin George pushing Montague into the Vanishing Cabinet in 1996 [src]
The Vanishing Cabinet incidentMontague joined the Inquisitorial Squad in April of 1996. During morning break on his first day as a member, he tried to take House points from Fred and George Weasley, but the twins shoved him into the Vanishing Cabinet before he could finish speaking. While trapped inside, Montague could occasionally hear goings-on at Hogwarts, as well as at Borgin and Burkes, where the Cabinet's counterpart was located. He managed to Apparate out the next day, despite never having obtained an Apparition licence, but ended up lodged inside a toilet on the fourth floor. The Apparition nearly proved fatal to Montague. He was left in a disoriented state for weeks afterwards. [src]
Montague eventually told his story to others, including Draco Malfoy, who was the only one to reach the conclusion that there was a connection between the Cabinet at Hogwarts and the Cabinet at Borgin and Burkes. This knowledge gave Draco the means to allow Death Eaters to enter the school the following year.Rather than surrender to embarrassment after the incident in Borgin and Burkes, Graham boastfully, credited himself directly for the Death Eaters' infiltration of Hogwarts during Hogwarts' Great War, which resulted in the death of previous Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore. This was a story which, rather than having been hastily buried, was one which had been told in the Montague household so painfully often that Graham's first child, his only son, Judah Llewellyn Montague, had reluctantly committed every word of the tale to memory. Unlike adolescent Calixta, whom Graham and Tracey had kept utterly in the dark in regards to their more gruesome history with Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry - as well as the Death Eaters and the Dark Lord Voldemort himself, Judah Lywellyn had been born not four years after the Vanishing Cabinet Incident, and the Great War at Hogwarts, when Graham and Tracey themselves were still young (& entirely new to parenting), & still very eager to serve the Dark One. Thus, Judah Lywellyn had been raised on stories such as these; stories heavy with boasts of his parents influence on that fateful battle at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, as well as the execution of Headmaster Albus Dumberdore. While The Ministry of Magic were hunting down any and all magic individuals who had sworn their loyalty to The Lord Voldemort after the Great War at Hogwarts, Graham and Tracey had nestled, deep in their inheritance; in the grand residence of the ancient Montagues, a wealthy family with Blood Purity dating back centuries. They lived comfortably in hiding, them three, and filled young Judah's mind with everything and anything that he would "need" in later becoming a Death Eater, and servant of The Dark Lord.
Graham and Tracey Montague were not a kind, loving family; at least, not the so-called family that Judah Llewellyn had known. To their firstborn son, Graham and Tracey had been strict, coldblooded, & calculating family - much like the snakes that had adorned every wall, banister, or decorative vase that Judah had found himself face-to-face with about the Montague family residence every single day during those days, weeks, months, years on end that the Ministry of Magic had chased the Montague family away in to hiding (and of course Graham and Tracey had placed any and all blame for their being locked away for the first few years of their son's life on the Ministry - a name which Judah had grown up hearing in conjunction with words such as "vile", "disgraceful", "traitorous" & "muggle-loving"). There were no hugs, treats, and bed-time stories. Judah was raised to be the heir of their Pureblood, Death Eater heritage, & therefore, had been raised coldly, and like a solider.
The 1995-1996 Quidditch Season
At the beginning of the 1995-1996 Quidditch season, Graham Montague was made Captain of the Slytherin Quidditch team, replacing Marcus Flint. He chose Vincent Crabbe and Gregory Goyle to be the team's new Beaters. [src]
His father's passion for and involvement in Slytherin's Quidditch team was, not unlike his history with the Vanishing Cabinet; it was one of the boastful man's grand memories, and was therefore something of which he spoke of very frequently - a moment which Judah had watched his father relive over and over again, constantly. And as soon as Graham's first born sun had grown old enough for his vessel to hint at his true, adult form, Judah was put on a broomstick & put through vigorous physical training, including but not limited to melee combat, various wizarding martial arts, and any other preparation that his father could legally put him through without revealing the family's location; without encouraging Judah to tap in to his wizarding abilities, or perform magic of any shape or form, as this would be seen easily by the Ministry. Before Judah had even had his eleventh birthday, he had been so thoroughly trained in flying and combat, it was starting.
HOGWARTS YEARS: COMING OUT OF HIDING
After many years of having been locked away in the Montague ancestral residence, the Ministry of Magic had announce their "victory";
An End To The Death Eaters the Daily Prophet read that fateful day. The Aurors had captured and imprisoned many; Azkaban had never before in history housed such a great number of The Dark Lord's servants - and some of the greatest Death Eaters known to the Wizarding World, too. Only those slimier Dark Servants, such as Graham and Tracey Montague, had made it through, free Witches and Wizards, the Ministry of Magic's manhunt for any magic persons who had ever so much as affiliated with the Dark One. But at this point in time, Judah had not understood the impact that these politics could have potentially had - or would later have - on his life; he was yet too young to understand what was going on in the Wizarding World when one had served Lord Voldemort. When the Montague son had read this headline, his parents had sauntered off to the other end of the room to hastily discuss what their son could not yet comprehend in hushed, and frantic hissing, Judah smiled. He would be attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry afterall. Not a month later, on his eleventh birthday, December 18th, Judah received his acceptance letter via his personal pure-bred owl.
THE SORTING HAT (THE FALSE SLYTHERIN)
Not until the evening before Judah's trip to Diagon Alley did his father approach him with the topic of The Sorting Hat, and Hogwarts Houses. For Graham had learned from one Draco Malfoy (who had more than likely been spying on Harry Potter and his trio when he made this discovery) that the Sorting Hat used to place First Year students in to their respective Houses by Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, used for centuries the sorted student's own thoughts and desires, "Where you will it to sort you, you will be sorted", Graham told him. It was by this means that his father intended for Judah to ensure his sorting in to Slytherin - no matter his true Housing.
Later in Judah's life, nearing adulthood, he often wondered, and felt truly, in his very core, that he would have been sorted in to Gryffindor, had he disobeyed his father's orders. But like a "good soldier", during the First Year's sorting, the Sorting Hat, in its embarrassment when faced with the young wizard (who had been repeating one word since his getting on the train, "Slytherin, Slytherin, Slytherin") hastily, before the hat had even truly rested on his head, had bellowing, assigned Judah Montague to the house of his family, Slytherin.
Judah was fifteen years old when his sister, Calixta was born. One of his greatest memories is of seeing her smiling face while visiting their mother in the Pregnancy Ward at St. Mungo's.
TO JOIN THE DEATH EATERS
From as early as his sixth year of his education at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Graham and Tracey Montague began Judah's initiation in to the Death Eaters, as well as his "primping", or preparation in becoming a proper, Pureblooded heir to the Montague ancestral heritage; the moment that Judah became a proper teenage (young adult), his parents began shaping and molding him in to the "proper" heir to their "thrown". Much to Judah's dismay, the process of finding him a acceptable, Pureblood witch to betroth become of the utmost priority to his parents. Before he could so much as utter a word of protest, his parents had whisked him away and had begun training him to dress, speak, walk, behave, and
perform (much like an actor's role in a play) like the heir to the Montague family. He was dragged to extravagant social gatherings, parties, meetings, and events, dressed in obnoxiously expensive Wizard Robes and tailored suits, and what had once been his free will, thrown away. He would meet with potential suitors every other day, whilst at night, he dawned a dark black hood, pulled down over his face in his place beside his father at far darker meetings, with those Death Eaters whom remained. It was at this moment in his life that Judah began to recognize the missing love and affection, and instead began to notice the cold and calculating taking-advantage that his parents had been practicing since his bitter childhood. But it was not until after he had sworn his soul to the Death Eaters (accompanied by an eternal Dark Mark strewn across his forearm) and his parents had picked the prettiest, coldest, and purest of blood young witch for him to wed that Judah had finally put his foot down, and began his rebellion. Only then, had he realized what a dire mistake he had made by pledging his allegiance to the Dark Arts, despite his inherent talent for trouble and the Unforgivables.

THE REBELLION (ADULTHOOD)
The greatest rebellion in the eyes of his Pureblooded Ancestry presented itself all too clearly to Judah in the last years of his adolscense; to muddy the Montague family blood line with his wedding the daughter of a "Tainted Blood" family. Enter, Renee Moreau, a beautiful, ever-witty Slytherin, daughter of infamous Auror Emile Moreau, the woman who had dirtied their family ancestry when she had married a Muggleborn. Their meeting could not have been any more fated in the eyes of Judah Lywellyn. He had not anticipated their later-developed mutual feelings of love and infatuation; that had simply developed accidentally, and all too naturally - as both Renee and Judah had intended to marry for the simple intention of rebelling against their families. On the day of their simultaneous graduation for Hogwarts, Ms. Moreau and Mr. Montague married in a chapel not five miles from King's Cross Station. From there, the two newlyweds retreated in to temporary hiding, for Renee no longer wanted Judah participating as an active member of the Death Eaters - something which the faction would not so easily allow - and Judah found himself, once again, locked away from the Wizarding World's society. His family, as well as those who he had known to be fellow Death Eaters, deamed him a traitor to The Dark Lord, as his loyal Pureblooded servants, and began looking for their new target, Renee Moreau-Montague.
Not before Renee and Judah had lived for four years together, did the Death Eaters find them - for Judah to come home to a front door blown open, and his children cowering in what had once been Renee and Judah's shared bedroom (once flowing with calming black curtains and the rolling breeze, accompanied always by the scent of native lilies - now poisoned by fear). He seized their young identical son and daughter, and fled their beautiful makeshift Moreau-Montague family home, never again to return.
PRESENT DAY
With no other choice than to seek help from the very family that had inflicted such a horrific fate on the wife and mother to his children whom he had loved so very dearly, Judah returned to his family home to raise his children with the financial help of Graham and Tracey Montague - only to be met with a troublesome negotiation; his parents would not provide Judah's children with a monetary means to survive (food, clothing, schooling, and other human necessities) unless he returned to the Death Eaters to serve loyally once more as a "good little soldier" and to live his life as the "proper" Pureblood heir that the Montagues had forever forced their son to play, without free will.
Reluctantly, but with no other avenue, a mourning, broken and apathetic Judah agreed.
