[ooc: If anyone has a question at any point or needs help, please don't feel like you can't or shouldn't ask them or send a message about them. I'm bringing Maude in because she's basically going to bother people, but she is also the sister of the Editor-in-Chief of the Prophet, so if they want to put any of this in the news, or find whoever the real killer is, if they decide it isn't her, Maude can set that up for them. Also, look at how I wrote "ooc:"! The c: is really cute. XD ]
Out of the three Prichard siblings, Maude was both the oldest and the most outgoing. Perhaps that was why she was out walking during her spare time instead of sitting in the office or reading at some café. She felt better for being among other people, even if it was just through proximity that she knew them, rather than by legitimate conversation. Either way, her walk sent her along the edge of a park, today, where she saw perhaps the strangest thing she had in ages.
There was a rather thick bout of trees at one corner of the park, and she had just walked alongside them when she saw a flash of green light from the other side. Odd, even for a place with green grass and green leaves. But it wasn't impossible for the light to mean what she suspected it did. Picking up her pace, she cleared the trees, staring around the park in search of the source. A man was lying prone on the grass, and a blonde woman looked incredibly confused. But she had a wand in hand.
What did those Muggles think they were doing? Surely they had just seen what had happened? Approaching someone who quite possibly just did a man in, even if the thing in her hand looked like just a stick, was incredibly dangerous. Maude, on the other hand, could protect herself. She was approaching just as several Aurors arrived, and although they told people to back off, she didn't listen. Gilbert would have done her in if she had.
"Excuse me," she began, reaching out and settling a hand on the man closest to her. She was certain she recognized him from somewhere, but as she didn't spend much time in their department, she couldn't place him. He had spoken first, though, upon arriving, so she liked to think he at least knew what he was doing. She didn't wait for him to acknowledge her, however, before starting off on her little ramble. "I was walking past when I saw a green flash of light, and I'm quite sure we both know what that means," she added under her breath, making it clear that she wasn't just another curious Muggle. "I'm not entirely sure what happened, but I'm quite certain that someone did something untoward, here."
