Keiran's arms crossed over his chest at Theodore's greeting, unsure whether or not he felt emasculated by it. The eyebrow that lifted, however, was a sign of amusement this time rather than annoyance. Of course, he was glad to have walked in before the others, because nobody else could catch it. Of course, he was more curious about the obvious shade that was passing between Elijah and Theodore.
Taking it upon himself to pose the question - particularly given their lack of Connolly - Keiran laid it all out for the headmaster. "A couple of days ago, Millie and I broke into a museum," he started, he himself in wonder at that sentence. "Peter showed up just in time, considering several men who wanted to harm my wife," Keiran bit the words out, "showed up. They went after her, and after my nephew, and I had to kill one of the men to stop them. But that doesn't mean they won't try something else."
He paused, turning to look at Millie. His jaw clenched for a moment, not quite wanting to ask the question, just as he didn't want to think about something else happening to his family. Yes, he supposed grudgingly (though quite silently), that included Peter. Sort of. Basically.
"It sounds like a mad tale, I know," he went on, turning back to Theodore. "But we've an idea of how to corner the rest of them, and we need your help. Yours and Mai's. Millie and I can't go in looking like ourselves, so we want to use polyjuice to go in as the pair of you. On the assumption that you don't frequent The Chandelier Room. I can't imagine that Mai would, but..." Keiran shrugged.
Of course, he was entirely unwitting when it came to the fact that Oliver had well and truly left out any sort of plan that would help Elijah sneak in as somebody else. Really, though, some part of his subconscious got the feeling that, if anyone could come up with someone to look like, it would be their Deputy Minister. He had more ties than any of them.
"Oliver thought it might be safer," he added belatedly, the comment falling rather flat as it was intended to throw the interest from Keiran and over to the author. Whether or not Peter or Eli caught it, he was trying to make it clear that he did not need his cousin, despite the truth of the matter staring the lot of them plainly in the face.
