A plot that took root before it was realized

Isobella looked around the room that she was standing in with a wide eyed drunk look. She didn't know where she was but was told where she was sleeping for the night. She walked down the hall to the bedroom there and almost fell face first into the room. She needed to get out of her shoes or she'd end up on the floor where she didn't want to be. Walking slowly to the bed with her arms out to maintain her balance. Sitting down upon the cover and unzipping her boots that she was wearing then shrugging out of her coat. She placed the coat and boots at the foot of the bed on the floor, she pulled back the cover and crawled into the bed. As soon as her head hit the pillow she was out for the night and slept like a log.


Bella woke up stretching underneath the covers then opened her eyes. She sat up quickly and looked around at her surroundings wondering where she was. She looked to see if she ended up next to someone but the other pillow that was there wasn't creased. Blowing out a sigh of relief she threw the cover back and swung her legs over the side. Her head hurt just slightly as she slid off the bed and grabbed her boots as well as coat from the end of the bed. She opened the bedroom door carefully and crept out on her tip toes hoping not to wake anyone who may be in the place.

Darren had intended to take Bella back to her home, but when he couldn't quite figure out where it was because of how inebriated she was, he had figured it was more efficient to just take her to his for the night instead of trying to talk someone at the Leaky into explaining to her what had happened in the morning. At least he would be here when she woke and would be able to talk with her about the plan he wanted to make. After all, it was possible that she wouldn't remember their conversation at all.

So he had settled down on the couch for the night, only to wake when she left the bedroom and came into the main section of his flat. Determined not to frighten her, he stretched visibly, hoping she could catch the movement and not be afraid of him when he spoke.

"Do you need any painkillers?" he offered, sitting up and re-organizing the pillows he had used to sleep on. "I've got some in the cabinets over there," he added, gesturing towards the kitchen.

Bella was almost to the door when she saw movement to her left. She stopped her face going slightly pink when she saw the man who's house she crashed at. "That would be great thank you." She said softly at his question her head pounding now that she was up and about. She looked over towards the kitchen placing her shoes on the floor and walking to the kitchen. Opening one of the cabinets she saw the painkillers and grabbed them.

Bella felt like she wanted to crawl into the deepest crevice she could find and die. She vowed right then and there she was never going to drink that much no matter what. Considering she didn't drink a lot it wasn't going to be that hard for her. She looked in another cabinet finding a drinking glass. She grabbed it and filled it with water from the tap, she took out some painkillers and took them.

She walked back out to where he was and said, "Thank you. I don't usually drink a lot and I'm sorry for anything that may have come out of my mouth last night. Or anything I may have done, I don't remember any of it. Though I'm sure I'll hear all about it at work." She felt like an idiot standing there apologizing to a man she doesn't remember meeting.
