Hadley offered a tight smile in return for the rest of the greetings, trying to keep a log in her head of who was who, as well as the sort of personality that each person around her seemed to possess. Typically, she had a pretty decent memory. But this whole magic thing had a great potential to completely disprove that idea. Nevertheless, she knew there was no use in not trying, so Hadley stepped forward towards the man who seemed to be in charge.
Was she supposed to know which to pick? Hadley had no idea. Instead of worrying about it too deeply, she took up the one that seemed to be pointing at her, handling it carefully. There seemed to be a pause, as though they were, indeed, waiting for one of the newcomers to voice their questions or concerns. In that moment, Hadley could feel herself wanting to duck out. But then she realized that, if this never went away, she would be risking the people in her life for lack of being able handle this new... something inside of her. So she stood up a bit taller and glanced around at the others, a small and determined smile on her face.
"Where are we starting?"
