So! This is Tobias (Never "Toby"), and he's Captain of the Magical Law and Enforcement Patrol! He's a sad, broken baby and he needs cuddles. And probably people to sympathize and irritate him by doing so. He doesn't like pity. But he won't get over the loss of his wife and daughter easily. Since it only just happened, that gives him a lot of room for meeting people.

My goal for him is to start with getting past his issues, then have him struggle with the idea of liking someone else. I always get excited and jump past my characters finding reasons to fall for people, but with Tobias I have to go through all of that, and it will be a challenge for me as a writer I think. So I adore him. You should, too.

Thoughts :

Well, Teddy is a counselor. Maybe he's coming to him?

I think he and Jack could be mates. He likes Quidditch so I'm sure he knows her career. She'd be the sort not to give pity but to definitely be there for support.

Claire would be interesting too, especially as he has the job she had occupied for awhile. There's an opening right there. She's so awkward about feelings stuff she wouldn't know how to be supportive.

Dom might be Tobias' personal hell. She's obnoxious and I think she would stress him out.

Those are the immediate grads that popped up, but Gabby and Kip are also available.

Um, I guess Yumi, Rose, Ryo and Kaiden could be something with him. Ryo and Kaiden could be buddies, maybe? Ryo might be more likely since Kaiden is younger.

Not sure about Rose and Yumi, they're both the same age so it could be both or one or the other. Yumi (for one reason or another) is flat out gay now. And Rose is debating. I think she's straight now :DD

Teddy might not be the most sensible for Tobias, if only because he would rather not talk about it. If they were friends, though, perhaps it could be brought up without Tobias getting angry.

If you can think of a reason for him and Jack to meet up, that sounds great. Same for Claire. Especially since he's been promoted and works with her and all. In the Ministry maybe? Might be the day of his promotion or something?

Dom would be funny, but I'm not sure why she would interact with him, either.

As for yours, Hit -
Ryo makes more sense, considering Tobias is older. He's 24, so he would've been quite a bit older. And it would be interesting if Ryo and Tobias got to bond over children, but then Tobias lost his.

If Rose had a thing for him, it would be interesting, but he definitely wouldn't like her back. At least not right now. As for Yumi, maybe they hang out and things. Buddies maybe? Could've grown up together to an extent and she could have known his wife. Especially if she and Tobias got along really well. No threats for his wife, either, since she likes women xD But yeah. Maybe?

I think he can go well with Hayley. She is 21, ex Gryff, played quidditch so he would probably remember her from school.
However, after graduation she travelled the world so he probably never saw her again.
She literally lives for helping others, thought she doesn't like to interfere in other people's stuff (but eventually she does).
She has a different view on things, especially those that are related to the death of loved ones. I doubt she would pity him for losing them, she would only feel sorry for him for not being strong enough to move on. And then she would probably try to help him, as much as she can. But she won't say nothing unless he mention something.

I think the most likely for him to actually meet would be Jack and Dom, as they'd reach out soonest, though I can't see why Dom would stick around - she's bad with sad people. Perhaps... oooh and this hurts as I write it... Sunny gets "lost" in Diagon or Hogsmeade and approaches him, asking for help to find Jack? She's not the same age as Tobias' daughter, but she definitely has that charming, little kid beam.

I'd say Claire could meet him at the Ministry, but hasn't it been demolished?

Maybe Ciara somehow helps him cope? Not sure if that would help him or make him worse, but Ryo would be all for letting him be around his daughter if it helped Tobias in any way.

I think Rose would totally end up having a thing for him and she would be devastated if he didn't like her back, but she'd deny everything really fast and just secretly love him until she had a chance with him XD

Tobias can be that friend that brings two enemies together! From Yumi's perspective anyways. She thinks of Rose as an enemy now ._. It'd be funny to see Rose get jealous of Yumi because she's Tobias' friend.

Maki: He might get along with her, but only until she tried to interfere. Then he would try to avoid her or try to pull away from the friendship. If she cared for him, or just wanted to see if he would listen to her, it would take Hayley prodding him a bit to get him to pay attention.

Jackles: Well, yes. Though it's being rebuilt by the Order, I'm not sure when it'll be "fixed." could be that he is supposed to meet Claire because they don't have their department in which to meet? So it could be anywhere.

Sunny works, and would be all achy for Tobias. So that could work. As for Dom, I don't actually know if he would like her or not. If not, he wouldn't try to stick around and get to know her.

Hit: I don't think he would be up for that, considering it was supposed to happen, like... in the past month. But it could be that Ryo brings her up and Tobias gets all O.O because he hasn't said anything yet.

Awh. Rose is adorable. But yeah, he wouldn't be open to that AT ALL considering it only just happened. Poor thing if she loved him while he was married, though. Like if she met him after and he was like, "oh, and I'm married" and she was just D:
