Smiling, Chloe climbed into the old car her family was taking to the train station. They had been living in the Muggle world for a few years now, since her mom's job was in this world, so Chloe was very used to taking a car to get places. Wizard ways weren't always available to wizards in a some cases, so knowing this much about Muggles might really help in the future. Either way, she loved the Muggle world, from its medieval transportation to its oblivity of the magic world right at its fingertips to the Muggles in it. Her mom, a Muggle, had wanted her to not just be in the world of magic so she could operate better and not be surprised later at this different world. Chloe was glad now her mom had done this; if her dad had had his way, she would just be another witch who thought nothing of Muggles.
Chloe glanced at her dad, with his blonde hair sticking up at all angles, who was sitting in the driver's seat. Her dad had learned last year how to drive a car, so at least they wouldn't get into an accident. She asked with mirth in her voice,"Hey, Dad, can I drive? I do have my permit now." Her dad smirked at her and answered,"Thanks, but I don't want to die in a car accident on my way to a simple train station." She laughed at him and replied,"That's why I suggested that I drive." Her dad glared at her for a moment before his stern face gave way to a grin. "Very funny, Chloe, but I'm not sitting in that back seat." Chloe sighed, giving up the fight to drive the car.
The drive to the station seemed to take barely a minute, even though Chloe knew it took a good fifteen minutes to get to the station from their house. To be honest, Chloe was a bit nervous about school this year. What if she failed out, or something so embarrassing happened to her that no one ever wanted to talk to her again? What if one of her friends turned mean and spread all her secrets(and Chloe did have a few) around? What if-Chloe cut her own thoughts off and took a deep breath. A billion bad things could happen at Hogwarts this year, but that didn't mean any of them actually would happen. She really ought to stop stressing herself out; all that would happen was that she would go onto the train feeling horrible. That would not be a cool thing.
Chloe pulled her trunk out of the trunk of the car and grabbed her owl's cage from the seat next to where she had been sitting. Having all her supplies, she and her parents began to walk towards Platform 9 and 3/4. She glanced around in surprise, noting how many Muggles were her today. It seemed like there were a lot more here than usual. Darn, this would make it a lot harder to get through the wall without looking like an idiot or getting spotted. What if a Muggle saw her disappear through the wall and raised the alarm? The wizarding world could be discovered, and it would be all her fault. She sighed and decided that if it happened, it happened. If she wanted to get to Hogwarts, she would have to take that chance.
Chloe watched her mom and dad look around nervously as well. Apparently she wasn't the only one who noticed the huge crowds of people in this station. She muttered to her dad,"How are we gonna get to the station, Dad?" He shook his head, an obvious he didn't know. She sighed; if her own dad didn't know the answer, then how could she solve this problem? Her mom's voice broke through her thoughts and said,"Let's just try and hope for the best. She and her dad nodded and began to slowly stroll towards the wall that would lead them to the corret platform. She carefully pushed through the crowd, trying not to push someone too badly. She wouldn't like it if she was pushed, so she tried not to do it to the others.
Before long, the wall loomed before her, awaiting her entrance into it. She looked at her dad, who nodded, which meant that it was time for her to go through this wall. She nodded back and broke into a run. he crashed into the wall, and suddenly, her surrounding changed. She was no longer at the station she had been at before. She was standing before the Hogwarts Express. She grinned as her parents came though the wall a moment later. She deduced from the smiles on their faces that no one had seen them enter. Good; she wouldn't want to have to deal with that today and end up having to face the Muggle authorities, which would have made her miss the train.
She and her parents strolled towards the entrance of the train, making their way easily through the crowd. This place wasn't as crowded as the place before had been. For that, Chloe was thankful. She didn't feel like having to deal with that again. Her smile widened as she stood before the train. To her surprise, her mom had tears in her eyes. She hugged her mom and told her,"It'll be alright, Mom. I'll write every week and evrything. Her dad motioned for her to step off to the side, and Chloe complied. He looked at her sternly and said,"You be good, Chloe. No messing around. No pranks. No nothing and good grades."
Chloe nodded rather solemly and gave a dad a hug good-bye. She waved to her parents and began to make her way towards the entrance of the train. She turned back to look at her parents one last time, and that's why she didn't notice the family standing before her. She crashed right into a girl who looked her age but unfamiliar. Chloe's trunk went flying to the ground, and owl cage slipped out of her grasp. Chloe immediately told the girl,"Sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going." She gave a friendly smile at the girl, hoping this girl wouldn't hold a grudge against her for a complete accident. If the girl did, well, then, Chloe was going to actually have a problem, this one before and at Hogwarts
