Transfiguration: Pod 3 - Lesson 1

Adrienne's third class meeting as Transfiguration Professor at Hogwarts was sure to be a fun one, she mused silently. Her desk was covered in little figurines, each one representing the houses of her students in question. Some interaction, of course, beyond the typical spell casting and discussion would prove beneficial, she hoped, when they came in for their first lesson with a new professor and their first lesson of the new year.

On the board, she wrote a message: Good Afternoon, Students! Please pick up a statue that represents your house animal, then pick a seat.

Once they had settled, she would explain the spell that they would be learning. The topic was one that most people expected to be covered in a student's third year, but Adrienne hoped that they would work together so that the students could all pick up on the topic. Besides, the topics would vary in difficulty throughout their lessons, so she hoped it would prove a good experience for each person individually.

Adrienne stepped back to look up at the board, making sure she didn't need to add anything, then settled behind her desk and pulled out the folder that held a series of pictures that she would provide the students with once they sat and settled in for the lesson. A small smile lit her face as she reached for her tea mug, taking a sip of the lemon-flavored drink and waiting for the first student to arrive.

It was time to go classes even yeah this year is different for everyone. She walked towards the Transfiguration classroom. It have been good and interesting lesson for Clara usually.

Girl soon opened door to classroom and realized that she was firsr one. She greeted the professor and then looked at these statuez there. She had to pick one that will represent her house. She choosed then what should be gryffindor when she figured it out. Her mind was today a little bit slow.

She after that did sat down somewhere middle of classroom and now she needed to wait for others to come. She hoped that she won't be only one here now.

Transfiguration and charms lessons sounded good for Jessica. She liked both lessons actually. She was better at Charms than Transfiguration but it still will be good lesson for sure.

Third year Ravenclaw girl walked into classroom with smile. She was very excitex about this lesson. She greeted the people in this lesson with bright smile and also said hello them. She then took a seat and waited others to arraive now. It was boring thing to do but there wasn't many students in this class yet. She sighed for a second.

She looked around the classroom and wondered what they will do today in this lesson.

Ethan wasn't really that excited about lessons actualky. He knew they were good for him and he needes to attend at them for sure. He wasn't sure how good he will do in them. Last year he didn't do that good actually. Charms and Transfiguration was okay lesson for him. He liked them kind of way. He could do good at them only if he pays attention what's going on.

He had promised that he will to better this year than last year to his parents. Boy walked into the classroom. He did say hello to lrofessor and then took a seat back at the classroom.

The younger students seemed a bit confused about what to do, so Adrienne decided it would be simpler to bring them the statues herself, setting one down on each desk that matched the students. Ethan was given a snake statue, and an eagle one was handed to Tiffany, each accompanied by a smile from their professor. Then, Adrienne returned to the front of the room, deciding that if any students came in after she introduced the lesson she could simply explain it again. She wouldn't mind, after all, considering the lesson was one that she found to be quite fun.

"Today," she explained, "we'll be turning these statues into little rabbits!" A bright grin grew on her face as she looked at each of the students individually, then continued. "All you have to do is point your wand at the statue," she explained, picking up one for the Ravenclaw house, setting it in front of her, and directing the tip of her wand at it. "Then say the enchantment, Lapifors." A pink light jetted out of her wand, and when it faded, the statue had transformed into a little brown rabbit.

Smiling, Adrienne reached out the hand not holding her wand to pet the rabbit, then looked up at the students again. "Any questions? If not, just give it a go and see what happens!"

Clara nodded towards to younger girla who came in now. She didm't know them basically. She might have seen them.around but that's all. She smiled even at them. She looked at Adrienne when she began to talk there now.

She listened what she said there now. She did understood whatshe had do now. She took out her wand out now. She pointed her wand at gryffindor statue. "Lapifors," she said there now and saw that same pink light jetted out of her wand. It turned into white little rabbit. She smiled at success right now. She now looked at younger ones how they did it there. She could help them if they need help.

Ethan did even smile back at professor when she did bring to him the snake statue what she did forget to take with him. He could hade said thank you but he didn't find it necessary. After that he did listen what professor Adrienne said. He did understood it.

Slytherin boy took then his and. He pointed it towards the statue now. "Lapifors," he said there now and first time nothing didn't happen. So he decided to try one more time. This time he saw pink light and the statue turned into the black rabbit for him. Boy was glad that he had succeed in it.

Tiffany smiled and also did thank professor if she did bring to her eagle statue what she did forget to take before. She now saw that they had to take one. When professor began to talk she did listen carefully what they needed to do now. It sounded quite easy but when she began to try it then it didn't seem so easy.

Ravenclaw had to try like four or even five time before she turned the eagle statue to the brown rabbit, like professor had. "Yay, finally did it," she said there now with a smile. She was veey happy that she did. She likes rabbits and would like to have one some day maybe even.

Adrienne kept an eye out as the students attempted to get the spell to work properly, and found that she was nearly as excited as they were when they got it right. One of the younger Ravenclaws seemed to be having a bit of trouble with hers, but after a time, she had worked it out just fine. A bright smile lit her face and she walked around the desk once more to face them.

"So, because we all seem to like the little rabbits we've just met," Adrienne began, reaching down once more to pet her own rabbit between its ears, "I think it would be a fun project to allow you all to take care of them! If you want to, of course. If not, I can transfigure them back into statues at the end of class. But I think it would be a lot of fun to simply keep them for a time.

"In order to do that, though, you'll need to know how to take care of them and keep them healthy and happy. Firstly, they'll need lettuce or carrots or things like that, which can be picked up in the kitchens. The house elves are very nice about it," she assured them gently. "But for water, we're going to work on a spell that is actually rather difficult. It's a sixth year spell, but if you don't quite get it today, you can always as the house elves for some water in containers that you can keep, or you can get some from the sinks in your bathrooms. The spell is a lot of fun, though, so we're going to give it a try, today, anyways."

On the board, the word 'Aguamenti' appeared. "You'll need to direct the end of your wand at a bowl or container and say this enchantment. The light that comes out should be an icy blue, and you should end up with water coming from your wand, ending up in the object you specified. You really ought not direct it at the rabbit, considering that isn't very nice. But I have bowls here," she added, pulling out a smaller box to set it on the front desk, "so you can pick one up and practice! If you need help, let me know."

Clara looked rabbit in front of her. She wasn't sure how rabbits amd cats get along. So she decides to ask it but she first did lissten what Adrienne said there next. Okay Clara knew what rabbits eat and drink. She have heard about it so it wasn't news for her.

After professor was done talking she then raised her hand. "My question isn't related to spell at all," she said at first then. She got how do it but yeah there was something else what she was curious. "How well does get rabbit and cat along?" She asked. Shs wasn't sure if Addie knows answer for it. After question was asked she lowered hee hand and took wand into her hands once again. She had placed on the table for few seconds.
