Although no one would assume it Sebastien O'Sullivan had all features of a bookworm, but he fought really hard to keep that secret. After all you can't be an arse at one moment while you're reading Shakespeare's sonnets about love at the other. Being a jerk and thinker simply didn't go well together so he needed to choose one, and he thought he chose the right one. He chose to act unapproachable and rude person, thinking it would be easier to repel people, and it was. As time passed that became like second skin to him.
Sebastien already read all this books Elizabeth showed to him, and there was nothing that interest him but he took one, muttering quietly "Thanks." and started to browse the book just to do something. Since she decided to help him, he would at least appreciate her effort.
When he started searching he thought it's going to be easy, that he would find a cure in a first book he opens. So far he read more then a hundred of them and there was no mentioning of the cure. Although he tried to deny it there was a hint of skepticism that grew larger and larger with every new day. Sometimes he was sure he won't find it but yet he couldn't stop searching, maybe that all started because of fear of his brother's reaction but it soon turned into obsession.
He raised a head as Beth told him her working space. He would never guess that, although he wasn't quite sure why. All the Ministry workers were…strict? Yes, he could use that word. Bastien was used to avoiding all the Ministry workers and by his pattern all the workers were strict, boring and all „Yes, sir.“ „No, sir.“
His eyebrows arched while he thought why she told him that. He has never asked her where's she working. Although he couldn't see a connection between the Ministry and his question. Yes, he knew that Department of Mysteries was one of the departments in the Ministry, but he also knew only unspeakables are able to access there, and he seriously doubted she's one of them. He's not that lucky.
"Why? I mean, why would you do that?" He closed the book carefully watching her. "If I'm on your place I wouldn't do that for myself." And he wouldn't. If someone tried to provoke him as much as he tried to provoke her he was sure he would already punch him or cursed him. But help him? That would be the last thing on his list.
The time she suggested fit perfectly to him. During the day he needed to be in the Hogwarts' library, but he doubted deputy headmaster cared where he is during his free time, and he couldn't sleep anyway, so why he wouldn't do something useful?
"I can wait." He replied with a smile hovered on his lips.
