Edgar had come to the riot afraid of keeping his little sister out of trouble. He knew she would show up. He didn’t want her to get herself arrested. He had done the best he could to keep her out of the country and safe. She was being so reckless lately. He was worried for her. He was trying to figure out how to get her out of the marriage law. They had left him alone so far. He was going to try to get hold of someone in the Ministry and try to pull the fact he had a daughter so hopefully they’d leave his family alone. He also knew things the Ministry didn’t about his sister and things she doesn’t know either. There was a very strong chance that Amelia wouldn’t be able to have children the natural way, of course she could adopt or try the muggle fertility treatments. Amelia had no clue that their parents had been slipping birth control since her first boyfriend. Also any pregnancy would be tough her, it was for their mother.
He arrived to see his sister’s patronus. He cursed his sister’s recklessness. Ever since mum died she had been on a rollercoaster of personality changes. He surely wouldn’t let her get hurt. And the Ministry was hurting her. And that made him angry. He was putting his career on the line being here. Well not really, the team manager would probably approve of it.
‘Amelia, I need you to watch Eleanor for me,’ said Edgar coming behind his sister. This caused her to lose focus and her patronus to dissipate. He forced a portkey to his house in her hand before she had time to protest and closed her fingers around it.
‘You call yourself men. You are nothing but cowards. Forcing children to marry and have children. Well, tell this to the bastards arresting people that the Macmillans will not marry. And if they come after my family I will not hesitate to protect my family. Also tell them the Macmillans are cutting off any funds coming into the Ministry, that includes the Bones family was well,’ said Edgar to an Ministry worker he recognised from somewhere. Then Edgar closed his hand around another portkey to head off to practice. He made his point.
