With the recent invasion of werewolves onto the ground of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft & Wizardry, 8th December, it is no surprise that the Ministry of Magic has decided to take matters regarding the historic school into their own hands. Educational decrees 141 - 143 were released on New Years Eve, followed by education decree 144 that was published on the 1st January.

Minister For Magic Robert Lupin wrote:EDUCATIONAL DECREE No. 143: KATRINA-CARLOTTA DU HUNT HEREBY REPLACES THEODORE ROOKWOOD AS HEAD OF HOGWARTS SCHOOL OF WITCHCRAFT AND WIZARDRY
It is no secret that Robert Lupin has had a lot on his plate, what with Khaat Lupin being attacked, however rumour has it she is back on her feet and Mr.Lupin is transforming into the unstoppable force that he once was. Starting with Hogwarts Lupin disbanded the Board of Governors for the first time since 1214 and has took no delay in firing previous Headmaster Theodore Rookwood. No surprises there.
During the pre-Christmas breach of Hogwarts Gryffindor Tower was destroyed, at the hands of fiendfyre; Dumbledore's tomb was broken into and werewolves infiltrated the grounds maiming students left right and centre - killing one notable pure blooded student: Blaise Zabini. Whilst this was all happening many eyebrows were raised as to where the young Headmaster was? It turned out, after recent investigation, that a Percy Duckworth of 42 Maganshaw Drive, Surrey, claims to have spotted Professor Rookwood leaving the Leaky Cauldron at the time of the incident. It is therefore no shock to the British public that the alcoholic Professor has been removed of his position where he will now spend his days staring into an pint glass at The Hogs Head debating whether to have a fifth, sixth or even seventh drink.
Minister Lupin already had a replacement for Rookwood in mind, that being non other than Katrina-Carlotta Du Hunt. Not much is known about the foreign witch and she still remains unavailable for interview, but with Lupin doing anything in his power to correct the education system I believe that it's fair to say we can trust his decision. Alas, we are finally seeing some action from the Ministry and it's returning to it's former glory. This certainly gives parents, such as Miss Litherland, Mother of two, hope that the Government isn't falling after all and the rebellions are beginning to subside and welcome the Ministry's new plans.
However what has sparked most controversy in the New Year is educational decree 144:
Minister For Magic Robert Lupin wrote:EDUCATIONAL DECREE No. 144: ALL HALF-BREEDS ARE HEREBY BANNED FROM HOGWARTS SCHOOL OF WITCHCRAFT AND WIZARDRY
Our sources close to the Ministry, who would prefer to remain anonymous, confirmed that not only did Theodore Rookwood fail to protect his school it has recently come to light that he had no control over his students.
"No less than twelve werewolves were studying at Hogwarts, which given the fact that students sleep in such close quarters, was a worry to the Ministry - especially seeing as the majority of the half-breed students were bitten within the academic year."
From this we can assume that together Minister Lupin and Professor Du Hunt are merely looking out for the best interests of our children. I myself have two children at Hogwarts, one of them, it turns out, shared her dormitory with a werewolf. Thankfully I no longer need to worry whether my daughter will be eating breakfast after the upcoming full moon. We at the Daily Prophet back Minister Lupin's actions one hundred percent, as I expect every Mother and Father will do because after all, our children are the next in line to run Wizarding Britain.
