Amelia had no words, she simply nodded at Sophia's statement before noticing Maura's body on the other bed. It was hard to make out Maura behind the burns, her skin was saw raw compared to the usual porcelain quality it held. Amelia's eyes then flicked back to Hallie where they rested for the continuation of her treatment.
Although her eyes seemed fixed and focused solely on Hallie Amelia was in deep thought, thoughts she didn't want to block out for a change. She had been so used to burying her emotions since mastering occlumency that she was out of practice in dealing them - then again she hadn't been in a high pressured situation since the day Toby vanished.
Maura's parents weren't here. Amelia was here for Hallie but Maura's parents weren't here. She knew the parents, Maura's Father Anthony Goldstein had been at Hogwarts the same time as Amelia, even in the same house. Of course he had been four or so years above but he'd been there for her a lot. During Amelia's second year the Carrows had taken rule of Hogwarts, making life a living hell. It was thanks to Anthony that Amelia hadn't suffered the cruciatus curse and for that she was forever in his debt. Maura's parents need to be here.
'The fates were on her side most definitely so why don’t you, Mrs. Cooper, take Mr. Rookwood' What? Amelia blinked, returning from her thoughts back down to St Mungo's. Hallie was fine, she was going to be okay. A tear trickled down her cheek, a cocktail of relief and joy. However that didn't remain for long. 'Mr Rookwood?' Amelia repeated, her eyes sharpening as they finally noticed who the man was on the chair besides Hallie's bed.
'Mr Rookwood?' She repeated sternly. The headmaster had made to Hallie's bed side, found out about the whole battle and came to see her daughter without even bothered to check up on the school. 'Yes, I would like a word with Mr Rookwood.' She acknowledged, 'A coffee sounds delightful, I have a few things I would like to ask him.' Amelia continued to speak to the healer, her face tilted in his direction although her eyes remained set on Theodore. She wasn't one to get angry, nor did she ever show her temper. Even now she spoke calm and politely, in spite of her protective rage.
Walking to the door Amelia paused and pressed a hand on the nurse's arm. 'Could you contact the Goldsteins please, they should be here.' With a nod from the nurse Amelia left the room, opening the door open for Theodore. They had a lot to discuss.
