Alas, the weekend was here, time for Romeo to put his preparations into action. Throughout the past week Romeo had been spending almost every waking hour in the potions classroom with Vivianna Varnes, sixth year Slytherin. What they had been brewing in there was a cauldron full of revenge. Their victim: Shane Diamond and Maura Goldstein.
Yesterday Vivianna had spoken two words in the common room too him: 'They're ready.' After taking two vials, one of each potion, Romeo had made an effort to clear away all evidence that they'd ever brewed a potion.
The two potions were rather basic, in theory, but complicated to make given the additions Viv had thrown into the cauldron.
The first: forgetfulness potion.
Target: Maura Goldstein
Desired Effect: Wipe all existence of her boyfriend from her memory.
Added Effect: Rose petals and dragon scales to make her more susceptible to falling love.
If all went to plan Romeo would flirt with the Hufflepuff, not that he wanted to anymore, and infatuated her. That was the most difficult part of the task, even though she would forget all about Ryo she still disliked Romeo but hopefully the added ingredients would make that easier however.
Second Potion: Wart Producing Potion
Target: Shane Diamond
Desired Effect: Cause him to sprout warts over his entire body.
Added Effect: Make them particularly difficult to remove by adding a sticking component to the potion.
Again, thanks to Vivianna, it would make Romeo's revenge that much more thrilling. He had to hand it to her she was more than just a red head with an alluring wit. She had brains. Brains that he wished he had, not that he needed them, his looks made up for that. Not that Romeo wasn't clever, he was, he just didn't always apply himself.
As Romeo entered the hall he didn't look for any particularly attractive girl, nor did he pay any attention to the girls swooning over him as he walked by. He had one focus and one focus only: Shane Diamond.
'Shane.' Romeo said as he reached the Gryffindor table where Shane was sat, a curt nod following his greeting. The Slytherin was stood the other side to where Romeo was sat, it was perfect. Under his left sleeve was one potion then under his right was the other. All he needed to do was lean forward and rest his hand near the goblet and BAM Shane would be poisoned.
Romeo reached forward, ready to whisper a decoy to Shane. Although there was a snag. Was it the left or the right that had the wart producing potion? Left. Defiantly left. Well, it could be the right, dam. Romeo was wishing he'd thought more about that. No. No. No. It was defiantly left, it had to be?
Resting his left hand infront of Shane's goblet allowing the concealed potion to trickle from the sleeve behind. 'Hope you enjoy your detention. Just remember, try any stupid stunt again and you'll be in more than detention.'
With that he raised his sleeve back, feeling a bit if the potion drip against his hand. Fantastic. His goblet had been contaminated, as soon as the drink touched Shane's lips the Gryffindor would begin to sprout warts all over his face, hands, feet, leg, neck, torso and even the bit below the belt. Not only warts. Painful warts. The girls wouldn't be going near him anytime soon.
Turning away he caught sight of the Hufflepuff table. Now, to find Maura Goldstein.
