Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Oh wow. I think I remember placing forward this idea in some PA discussion thread like....a year ago. Cool Very Happy

If the admins approve, then I think that this may be where we can truly start the whole Rebel plot. Like....a final breaking point. Almost outright war with the Ministry....with people picking sides and getting conflicted...and if you put werewolves into the whole thing as well...wow. Of course, all this is proposed with the hopes that the Rebel plot hasn't been shelved. Coz that would make me really , really sad Razz

All that said, well done guys Very Happy this is a truly awesome way to begin site plotting again Very Happy

Well, you just watch Eli's turn into a debauched speakeasy of non-PG13 goodness.

Does double-posting count if it's different accounts? *squints* Not sure.

Anyway! Are there any pressing questions that you're eager to know?

So, is it only when you find a partner you must marry in thirty days?
And is the reason to like, increase birth rates and such like to increase the Wizarding population? Or am I reading this all wrong? Razz

Awhh, Hallie is one of those who has dreamed of a wedding day and finding someone she loves and then settling down. She will be crushed, or maybe not if she finds the right guy soon enough. The thing is she falls for people easily so she may be cool. But if part of her job ends up tracking down people who don't want to get married I can see her turning reb against the ministry.

Aye. "Married Bliss" is the stipulation at the moment. You must all be blissful and loving and married. Something will pop up later to ensure the birth rates rise, don't you worry!

I knew the rebels would enjoy this plot. They can get all snippy about being oppressed. XD

So is the ministry doing it to try and make it a happier place?
I am still a bit confused but love it anyway! Haha

I think Eli's saying that there is more to come, we just don't know it yet. From the way I read it, the character should get a notice of some sort.

We've found that, overall, everyone likes to be 'read in' on the new plot--but only to a given extent. If we were to reveal every single element we had, then there would be no surprises whatsoever.

When we've revealed every surprise, the members see it all as being too scripted and as though they're forced into merely following someone else's script.

We'd prefer to have a boatload of ideas and then to perhaps toss in a few surprises, in response to what the members do.

It reminds me a bit of the old game master and player formula from the old D&D days, with everyone working together to tell a really great story. But does that make sense?
