Rivah watched unimpressed as Jake turned his entire work area upside-down in an attempt to find the report she'd asked for. Well, at least he'd written it and not just forgotten about it, the woman figured. When he finally found the evasive report under a stack of papers, the older woman granted him a small smile. Taking the offered papers from her employee's hand, the witch skimmed them for a moment and nodded slightly to herself. "You really should ensure that you are more organized Jake," Rivah said, not scolding, but not kindly either.
"Now come," the witch spoke again, "there is something I want to speak to you about in my office." Taking a step backwards and noticing that the wizard hadn't moved, the woman rolled her eyes and added, "I'm not about to send you to the Centaur Office." It was a running joke in their department, that being sent to the Centaur Office was another way to say a employee was about to get sacked. Years ago, the Ministry had created a Centaur Liaison Office, and it hadn't been used by a centaur even once, hence where the lingo had come from.
Turning on her heel and walking briskly towards her office, expecting Jake to follow her, Rivah was mentally trying to figure out how to tell him about this assignment. Stopping in front of her secretary's desk, leaning forwards to whisper something quietly to the woman, Rivah received a nod and continued into her office.
