What now?

Lance had decided to take the time to clear his head. His life was always changing now, he had gotten a bad grade in his class over the week. He wasn't in the game today, usually he would have a plan and use it to help himself. But his Mind had went back to the party that Amelia had hosted, he knew that she might have hated him for leaving her.

He was just not the best person at those type of things, and then there was just to much going on. He was on a bench his head in his hands, just thinking of what to do now. He knew that he shouldn't have left her at all, now he felt like she would find someone better then him. " I screwed up so much "

Amelia had felt horrible since the party. She had never felt so low in her life. She was so angry at herself. She had lost control and now she was facing consequences she never wanted to face. The only thing keeping her from probably falling every class is that her parents had been teaching her during winter break and the fact spring break was coming kept her floating. She many not get along with Jessica but Jessica had just saved her from making this mistake even worse.

She wondered if Lance will ever talk to her again after how she acted. She was so embarrassed by how she was acting. That wasn’t her. She swore to herself never to let that happen again. If she was drunker that night what could have she done? She had let a lot of people down by not watching Alice. She wasn’t sure she could take much more disappointment or rejection. She started to soundlessly cry.

Then she saw him sitting on a bench. She wanted to run away feeling like he was going to bush her away. She grabbed her scarf and wiped her face, she didn’t want her face to turn to ice. She gathered all the courage and sanity she had to force herself to sit down next to him. “I’m sorry for how I acted,” she said barely even a whisper.

The feeling of guilt was overrunning him, he didn't like this at all. He hated to lie to people, even more harm them unless needed to. But what he did made him feel like a scumbag. What was he do now? He needed to say sorry to her and hope he can patch things up.

But the question was how? Until he heard the sound of her voice. He brought his hands away from his face, and looked to her. He noticed that she had been crying because her face was a little puffy and he wondered if it was because of him. It felt like a arrow had pierced his heart, just looking at her. " Amelia were you crying because of me? No, please it was my fault. I acted like a jerk to you, please forgive me " He said sincerely to her but his eyes had turned to watch the snowy ground because he didn't want to find out that she didn't like him anymore.

Amelia frowned slightly. He seemed nervous, of her. She was the last person he should be nervous of. She adored him and she didn’t mind when things went wrong. He was human and so was she. Humans make mistakes.

“Lance it wasn’t because of you. I just wish I had never done that party; it crewed up my life so much. I just feel like I’ve let everyone down,” said Amelia softly. “We both did things we aren’t proud of. Let’s just move on and forget about it,” she added. She brought her knees to her chest, it was still a bit chilly out and the jeans she had on weren’t very thick and they had tears in them.

Lance looked up at her again, his eyes were gazing at her. But she had said to leave it in the past and he had to agreed with her. He felt a little better now, but still he had to make it up to her. He moved closer to her and brought his arms around her. She seemed cold, and the least he could do was warm her up.

He smiled slightly at her as his hands brushed through her hair. It was something he liked to do to her, the feeling gave him a chance to be close to her. The feeling of her being close to him was good for him, it warmed him up already in this cool weather. " Your right, your the best thing that has happened to me. I don't want to mess up.....I know, I want to make it up to you. So where do you want to do? "

Amelia couldn’t help the giggle escaped her. She couldn’t explain how she felt with him. She felt that fluttery feeling she always felt around Lance. Despite the bad luck they seem to have she felt the same way about him.

She wasn’t sure where she wanted to go. She wasn’t even sure why she had come here. “Anywhere where it is warm,” she said. All she knew is that right now she wanted to be out of the cold. Anything would be better than being out in the cold. She would also do anything with Lance, she didn’t care. No matter what it would be fun.

Lance only nodded to her, chuckling as she giggled. He stood up from his seat and stood in front of her with his hand extended to her. Waiting for her to take it and then they could be off. He decided that they could get something from the three broomsticks, some nice warm drinks and could get to know each other.

" I know the perfect place then " He decided with a smile directed to her, he liked her. And wanted to make her feel like he would be there for her. That he was someone that would always protect her and bring her happiness. This was his goal for now.

Amelia took Lance’s hand. She leapt up to her feet; if she moves then she'd be warm. She couldn’t believe how cold she was though it was nearing spring but then again this had been a very cold winter. She was glad her dad was living in a warm house since neither of the farms in Scotland have heat.

“Let’s go then,” she said cheerfully. She smiled brightly at Lance. He was just so sweet. He always made her feel special. She wondered why he liked her since she wasn’t nearly as charming or sweet. She isn’t even sure she could be sweet to someone. She wasn’t raised that way. She was raised to be kind, street-smart, passionate and loving not sweet and innocent.

Lance started to walk with her to the three broomsticks, it was nice to get something to drink. Plus have fun with friends, but he was going with her. Taking her somewhere warm and open with many other students around. He smiled at her, thinking of what to say as they would walk there.

" I would think your use to the cold, being from the Netherlands? "

He asked a simple question, she had mentioned when they first met. But getting to know her more would be better for him. She hadn't asked much about him, but he would always be truthful to her.

Amelia laughed. Somewhere they had a miscommunication. Somehow the Highlands somehow got translated in Netherlands. She wondered how that happened. Who knows?

“When is said the Highlands I meant Scotland. It’s bitterly cold there too but it’s not the same. I also have a zero tolerance for cold. My mum says it has something to do with me getting frost bit so many times,” said Amelia. She hated it when she babbled on like that. Should she tell him about her parents talking about leaving the UK? She’s pretty sure she’ll be in Hogwarts though.

“Where about do you live?” asked Amelia unsure if she had already asked that.
