These are people who have kept a pretty high profile, by their own doing or otherwise. These are people you typically should recognize, unless your character has a specific reason NOT to. For example, it would be highly unrealistic if Ronald Weasley walked passed you and you didn't think, "Hey... That's Ron Weasley" unless you were a muggleborn, or you had another reason not to know.
This a list of PA celebrities, not canons, and not characters that used to exist or are yet to exist. I am only human, so if you want to dispute it, PLEASE do. My inbox is always open.
Also, I use celebrities loosely. These aren't the type your chase after for autographs, just high profile members of society.YOU SHOULD KNOW THEIR FACE
because they are very important, are constantly apart of the news, or something of that sort.
- Hermione-Granger Weasley - As a prominent player in the second wizarding war and a current Ministry employee, she shouldn't be hard to miss.
- Khaat Lupin - she's head Warlock, runs St Mungo's, and has a restaurant. She's also been in the news quite a bit.
- Kingsley Shacklebolt - Player in the wizarding wars, headmaster, super old guy, there's a lot of reasons you should recognize him.
- Neville Longbottom - owner of the Leaky Cauldron and a prominent player in the second wizarding war.
- Robert Lupin - he's your Minister.
YOU SHOULD KNOW THEIR NAME
because it is one name that is said a lot, or they have a high profile job, even though you may never have seen them.
- Elijah Krum - He is the deputy Minister, but that doesn't mean you would know him by face. And if you graduated around the time he did, you know his name from bathroom walls.
- Felix Barker - He made news headlines after a series of abductions, and then had two time victim, Khaat Lupin preside over his trial
- James Potter - son of the chosen one and a hunky Quidditch player? He tries to keep a low profile, but his name sends chills up every fangirl's spine.
- Jess Potter - Maybe he's done a better job of covering up his crazy affiliations that I thought, but you should at least know he has a tie to the Order and he's always involved in the Ministry somehow.
- Lorcan d'Eath - Ladyslayer, vampire-lord, and new pureblood dominator.
- Ne'os Emof - It may have been a mistake, but he did kill Voldemort.
- Susan Bones - Editor of the Daily Prophet - love or hate her, believer or doubt, you've probably heard her opinions.
- Jude B. R. Shaw - Undersecretary to the Minister - If you, or perhaps your parents, are politically minded, then his name should not be surprising to hear.
- Thaorsan Kam/Ian Elldir - I'll throw them in together, since they look just alike, and a lot of drama surrounds them. Chances are, if you've picked up a paper or listen to gossip in the past few years, you should know one of these names.
YOU HAVE AT LEAST HEARD OF THEM
but either they've kept a low profile, or you'd only know them by face if you made it your business too. But if they were pointed out to you, you might understand why.
- Alistair d'Eath - A name tied in a Hogwarts professor and Azkaban warden, so his name has gotten through many circles. Many also think he may be daddy's heir.
- Amelia Lyons - Hogwarts youngest headmistress and member of staff in history, Ms Lyons is probably the most brilliant witch of her generation.
- Caelani Bittel - The former Hogwarts Duelling Teacher. She was also The Dark Lady for a while but you'd only know that if you were a Death Eater, Order or Potter's Army member. Currently on the run from the law.
- Claudia Wandsworth - Witnessed escaping the last Hogwarts Battle with Caelani Bittel. Currently on the run from the law.
- Jack Dyllan - She's a Quidditch player, well-known to have led Potter's Army, and she owns a high-traffic store.
- Lucifer d'Eath - He's a professional Quidditch player.
- Sophia Granger - She owns a store and is heavily involved in St Mungo's affairs, as well as being connected to many prominent families.
