We are definitely not lost - Page 3 Empty Re: We are definitely not lost

“If I was alright, would I’ve sent my patronus. It wasn’t the bloody troll but a giant hole,” snapped Amelia. She was finally able to feel the pain and it was not making her very pleasant. She was in a lot of pain that she couldn’t pin point. She knew one thing; she wasn’t getting herself out of here. She didn’t even want to think how badly she was hurt.

“Stop before you fall in. It doesn’t feel that good to fall from up there,” she said calmly. She didn’t want Alice to end up down here too. She still couldn’t get up. Now it hurt too much to do so. She at least she knew her neck was fine.

Kingsley feared the worst. He knew macmillan was a talented witch, but even she would not have been able to handle a forest troll for this long. Luckily, it didn't take long for Alice to find her, so Kingsley followed.

She had fallen in a hole, good. "Evening Miss Macmillan," Kingsley said as he looked down on her. "You know, falling into this hole might have been a good thing. The forest troll could have killed you otherwise," he added ironically.

Oh right, he was supposed to help her. "Wingardium Leviosa," he casted, levitating her out, and then healing part of her wounds with curatos. "Unfortunately I'm not the best healer. We should get you back to the hospital wing," he said. Now that their was no more danger, Kingsley started speaking much more stiffly, clearly annoyed at the two. A long lecture wasn't far away.

Amelia was not really thinking straight and was very irritated by even by the wind. Her head was pounding and all of her senses were very sensitive along with her astral projection. Once on the ground she was happy but not for long. “Like I didn’t know that when I told Alice to go get help, I think I’ve had enough people die because of me for my lifetime. Who would stand a better, but not good chance, a fourth year or a fifth year? It’s not like I was taking on a troll to test my abilities, no offence Alice I am a lot more coordinate then Alice is. I was running around in circles before I fell into a hole that I have no idea what in Merlin’s name made that,” she snapped. She knew she was probably getting into more trouble but she didn’t care, her parents were going to kill her anyways for nearly getting killed.

“And how am I supposed to walk. I can’t even see straight,” she said holding her tongue from all the swear words she wanted to say. She wasn’t even sure why she wanted to swear. She couldn’t even keep the same thought for more than a minute.

Alice was just happy they succeeded in getting her out of that hole. She didn't mind Amelia's annoyed state, she didn't even blame her for feeling that way. It was normal. But most of all she felt guilty. This things was all her idea and it led to such trouble. That was never her intention of course, but she couldn't change that now.

Hearing the firmness in professor's Kingsley's voice, she went silent. She had almost forgotten about that part of the mess. She could already see herself spending every weekend in a small dusty classroom, cleaning, doing chores or probably something worse. But the worst part were her parents finding out. Getting a letter from her head of house about this would probably send them both to shock and disbelief. I mean Alice Longbottom doing something reckless? That doesn't really happen. And when they find out Amelia had to go to the hospital wing because of her injuries...Well god only knows who will she survive that.

"We will carry you" suggested Alice, not really seeing any other option available. They had to take her to the hospital wing and quickly.

Kingsley only smiled at Macmillan's reply, not fussed. Of course, she just had a traumatic experience, so it was only natural, but her rudeness would make it much easier for Kingsley when he put both of them in detention. "You shouldn't have been here in the first place," was his reply.

Kingsley looked at Alice with an amused expression after she suggested that they should carry her. What a muggle thing to do. "Well, there are easier ways. It might be a bit uncomfortable though," Kingsley warned Amelia before placing a floating charm on her to make her hover over ground. She couldn't move herself of course, he was making her move, so he had to be careful not to make her hit a tree.

"Let's head back now, there are worse things in here than Forest trolls," Shacklebolt said, moving back in the direction of the castle. "What punishment do you two think I should give for this?"

Amelia mumbled swear words in Scottish soon as she was floating in the air. She hated this. It felt too much like flying. She rather lay at the bottom of the pit. She didn’t regret anything though. She never would. She still had the defense of being a bit out of her mind. She knew she was even if the smallest way. She didn’t know why she had agreed to this but she couldn’t have imagined what had happened if Alice had gone in alone. If she hadn’t tried to stun the troll she would have been fine. She knew her father would be furious but would her mum be. Knowing her mum she’d probably just laugh, trouble seems to fallow the Bones family around. Trouble and death.

She still was swearing in Scottish. The only person who would remotely understand her would be Jessica or her dad. She wasn’t even sure if Jessica knew Scottish. She wasn’t being quite anymore though. She doubted any one knew what she was saying. She was also inventing her own swear words. All logical discussions with her had passed a long time ago. She was content to keep swearing in her foreign language. Of course, astral projection had other ideas. It was one thing to be floating around but now just being there paralyzed while thousands of images and words flash before your eyes is another thing. Now back to the land of the living her head was pounding even more. Why was it every time that was the worst possible time for her astral projection to affect her it did? She wondered if it was triggered by pain or stress. Probably was, no one really understands astral projection. Despite wanting to reply with some remark all that came out was stupid Scottish words that didn’t make sense anymore.

Alice gulped at professor Kingsley's question. She wondered if the common punishment for these kind of things would be notifying the parents. Although she guessed that would probably be so. Not that she could know from experience. The worst thing she has ever done in Hogwarts was tardiness to class. And even that made her feel guilty for days. Taking Amelia on an adventure that eventually led to her being carried to the hospital wing... well that was just a whole new level of guilt she would experienced. She already imagined her parent's reaction and it scared her to death. Her mother's temper was not something she wanted to mess with. And when her dad would hear about Amelia's injuries as well, he will certainly go ballistic.

Turning her head to Amelia in a curiosity of her response, she concluded that the woods had finally drove her mad. Not only was she talking to herself, but in another language as well. In Alice's knowledge, Amelia had no skills of a another language. So it must be madness, nothing else was left. When she though about it a bit more, she concluded that both of them had gone truly mad. Perhaps that could get them out from detention. "As you can see professor..." said Alice pointing her hand at Amelia who was still hovering over the ground next to them "it's obvious we are both unfit to serve any kind of punishment. Madness I would say. Probably incurable" Although she knew that wouldn't save her from her punishment, she actually believed those words. Why else would two normal girls do such a thing like this? She could only hope that Amelia would be taken care of in the hospital win soon. Her being seriously injured was the last thing they needed right now.

Kingsley looked at Amelia curiously as she mumbled words in what sounded like some Scottish language. Not knowing what to say to that, he turned and chuckled at Alice's comment. "It's quite natural, just shock, with it's side effects. It should go away in a couple days and I'm sure within a weeks time you'll be boasting about it to your classmates," Kingsley replied cynically. But he knew teenagers, they didn't use common sense. Right now they were terrified but later they would think that it was all quite 'cool.'

"And by the way, both of you," Shacklebolt continued. "Don't think your parents will approve of this. They might have had their fair share of action and grief but they don't want the same for their children."

"I will tell your parents this of course, I know them quite well. As for the detention, I think a trip into the forbidden forest would be suitable," Kingsley said seriously, before smiling slightly. "Or perhaps helping professor D'eath with his potions. What would you prefer?"

We are definitely not lost - Page 3 Empty Re: We are definitely not lost

Amelia did understand what everyone was saying but it only upset her. No one understood her anymore. It wasn’t that shock at was making her life this. It was only a matter of time before she cracked. Nearly falling to her death had set her off. She was starting to wonder if those potions are the only way she can go, maybe she wasn’t completely safe to herself and other. She did go into the Forbidden Forest, she should have tried to stop Alice not go with it and not to mention the fact she had thought about throwing herself off the Clock Tower a few times, not that anyone knew about her thoughts when she went up there. She was able to control herself to be able to irrationally respond in English for now.

“Put me in that bloody potions class ever again I swear on the name of Merlin you will be surprised on what I can do,” she warned. She had enough of being an experiment for any Potion. Polyjuice potion was sickening and she would never go through that again. She knew that her mother would be furious if that happen. “I don’t think you’d want to listen to my mum about that. She already wanted to break into Hogwarts a few months ago because of him. I don’t think you’d enjoy that.”

She got what she wanted out so she had gone back to her Scottish language and partial insane world. She was happy there. She could pretend her sister and brother never died. The complete scarring nightmare with her family and Chad hadn’t happen, not that it meant much anyways. And she was in a world where her astral projection didn’t exist. It was a perfect world where her parents had never gotten a divorce and everything is perfect. Sadly out of this state she knew that perfect world she did not feel the same. All she felt was anger, hate and pain. The only time she felt anything else was with Chad.

We are definitely not lost - Page 3 Empty Re: We are definitely not lost

Post by Alice Longbottom Tue Nov 20, 2012 5:28 pm

Alice doubted she would ever boast about this trip, since there was nothing to be proud of. It they actually got to see the dragon or even handled then forest troll on their on then yes maybe she would boast. However talking about how she and Amelia got lost in the forest and had to call a professor for help to get rid of a troll wasn't exactly a story that would do well for their reputation. And for her parents, well she was certain they wouldn't appreciate this either. With her mother's temper and her fathers protectiveness, she knew she would be in line for a huge lecture and a yelling session. "I'm certain my parents would do anything but approve of this..." she said with a sigh.

She didn't even want to think about it yet. Getting yelled at was one of her least favorite things. And since that doesn't really happen very often, she would always get rather upset in such situations. Her eyes would swell up and she usually would end up crying. Not exactly the way she wanted to end a visit from her parents right before Christmas.

Her head turned to Amelia as she almost shouted that she couldn't be in that potions classroom and when she was done, she just continued talking in the same foreign language she was mumbling before. Alice was now starting to get really worried about her. Maybe she hit her head on her fall, that was always a possibility. But thankfully, they were getting close to the castle now and Amelia could get proper care from a healer. "Ummm...well as she said, it might be best if we pick the first option" she said, not wanting to argue with Amelia in her state. Getting back to the forest was definitely not something she was looking forward to, but she pretty much didn't have a choice.
