What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. A secret worth knowing - Page 2 Empty Re: A secret worth knowing

Juliet stood rigid, her body started to shake uncontrollably, as she raced after him. No, her mother couldn't of been that stupid to tell him that. Or maybe she was, but he didn't want to be friends with her anymore. Tears formed in her eyes as she raced after him, trying to catch up, "jayden!" she yelled, her voice now noticeably weak, empty almost. She didn't know why he would be acting like this, at all even, as she grabbed onto the collar of his shirt, trying to slow him down, even just a little.

"jayden...please..." she whispered, tears now falling from her eyes and down her cheeks, what had her mother told him exactly? "what did she tell you?!" she screamed at him, her bright blue eyes now dark and cold, staring at him. "tell me. Now." she demanded, her eyes still dark, not from anger, but from pure sadness.

Jayden felt a hard tug on his collar that almost choked him when Juliet grabbed onto the collar of his shirt and he was forced to slow down a bit so she wouldn't choke him to death, which at this point didn't sound like a bad idea to him. He turned to face her, and grabbed her hand, prying it off of his collar, looking at her with cold eyes. His demeanor towards her hand changed so rapidly after some news that he got from her mum. Normally that wouldn't happen, but he didn't understand why it had.

His eyes scanned her own as she demanded that he tell her what her mum had told him. "I know what you are." he said again, coldly, in a voice that didn't sound like it belonged to him. "I know that your father was a muggle, that you aren't a Pureblood but a Halfblood." he told her. "And I assume that Danielle knows that too? You probably couldn't hide it from her. And I'm pretty sure that of she's still your friend, it's because she's defying what her parents have probably told her millions of times." he added. He knew that his words would probably hurt her, but he wasn't going to stop. He had to find a way around the engagement as long as possible.

She stared at him, eyes now full of tears, slowly dropping down and rolling off her cheeks. "yeah, of course she know.." Juliet mumbled, looking down. What had she done to him? "if that's your problem with me, fine, you're really low jayden, I didn't think you were this low. Over my father being a muggle? That disusts me." she said, her voice full of pure anger now. Hiding the hurt and betrayal she felt suddenly. "I can't believe you." she turned on her heels, and walked off, not looking back, although she wanted to. Oh, so badly, she wanted to look back at him. "goodbye." she said, her words, cold and lifeless.

As she started to walk, more tears rolled down her cheeks, wiping them she realized wouldn't do much, giving up on that. Her fists were still curled into fists as she walked, still not looking back. how dare he! Because I'm a halfblood.. she thought. She slowly turned to look at him, tears still running down her face. Was he right? Was that the only reason why dani was even her friend? To anger her parents?

"This has nothing to do with your father being a muggle!" he yelled. "I could care less if you're a halfblood. For all I care, you could be freaking muggleborn!" he screamed. Blood status had never mattered to Jayden, he knew that anyone who cared about it was just a shallow person who had nothing going for them besides that. "I'm not like Danielle and her stupid brother! All they want to do is have Pureblood friends because that's how their stupid parents raised them! Mine didn't! I wasn't raised like that because they hate all the blood status crap we have to go through because we're a pureblood family!" he screamed at her, his hands curling into fists. He couldn't believe that he was even arguing about this with her.

"I know that to everyone in the school, pretty much, you're a Pureblood. And why's that?" he asked her, waiting for her to say that it had been Danielle's idea. He was sure it was. "It was her idea right? She probably talked you into making everyone believe that you're a pureblood because she doesn't want her family to find out that you aren't one because she would be ashamed of being friends with a Halfblood!" he continued. He knew that she probably wouldn't want to hear any of this, but it was the truth. That's what happened whenever a Pureblood was friends with a Halfblood. "And once everyone knows what you are, she's gonna tell her parents that you don't matter to her and that she only used you! Then she won't be your friend anymore!" he added.

"Now, I understand why they decided to do that. It's probably to keep the act up." he muttered, referring to the engagement between the two of them.

Juliet stopped midstep, staring daggers into him. "no. My mothers idea. She raised me as a Pureblood. I had nothing to do with it, neither did dani!" she screamed, suddenly confused as to what he was talking about. "keeping what act up?" she asked slowly, her eyes looking at him, not moving. "what are you talking about jayden?!" sh yelled, her eyes now, once more brimming with tears.

"what act? The act my mother put me through?" Juliet knew she was raised as a pureblood, she knew she was a halfblood, and most importantly, she knew her mother was the one who started this "act" if there even was one. Dani had nothing to do with it, her parents knew she was a halfblood. Right? No, they didn't, her friendship was based off of a lie. Something that didn't really exsist. Pain shot through her chest, heartbreak even.

"Yes that act." he said. "The act of you being a Pureblood when you're not. Obviously everything's a lie. Even your friendship with Danielle." he added. "Your mum doesn't even like Danielle! She doesn't support your friendship with the girl and I pretty much understand why!" he yelled. Even if her mum had been the one to start this whole thing, Danielle was taking advantage of it. Why else would she be friends with a halfblood? Pureblood like her wouldn't do that unless they had something to gain from it. He knew for a fact that Brandon and Liberty Mulciber were Pureblood extermesists and that they wouldn't allow their children to associate themselves with anyone else that wasn't a Pureblood.

He finally figured that it was best to not keep evading the engagement and he swallowed hard before he looked at Juliet and said, "You want to know what else your mum told me?" he asked her in a cold voice. He wasn't going to beat around the bush with this anymore. It was better that he just came out and said it because she would eventually find out anyways. "Because of this whole thing, you "being a Pureblood", my parents and your mother decided that it would be a good idea to marry us." he muttered. "That's what has me so pissed off, not the fact that you aren't what you want everyone else to beleive." he said. "We have no choice in it, our parents decided that we would be married, no questions asked." he stated coldly and turned around to walk away.

Juliet stood there, then, in a matter of seconds, fell to her knees. "w-why?" she asked, she continued to stay of the hard ground, her knees now dirtied. Her face, a mess. "jayden...why?" she asked, staring at him, her eyes shining. She slowly stood herself up, and ran to walk alongside him. "I'm sorry.." she said softly, grabbing onto his hand, trying to stop him from moving.

"I had no clue..." she mumbled, pulling to stop him. "but...why you? How do our parents even know one another?!" soon, confusion turned into anger. She didn't mind she was getting married, just who she was marrying, and well, she wasn't ready for this. "I'm not marrying you." she said harshly. "and I kno my mom doesn't support my friendship with her, but...she's still my best friend--my only friend!" she said angerly. "but I'm NOT marrying you jayden."

"Because my parents don't think I have what it takes to find a girlfriend or anything." he muttered, pulling his hand away from her grip harshly. There was a strange pianed look on his face, showing a mixture of emotions; anger, sadness, hatred. He couldn't believe his parents would do that to him, he did have what it took to find a girlfriend. They thought that he would never be able to make friends before, and look at him, he had plenty of friends. He got along with the other students, most of them, yet they didn't trust him with something as serious as that.

It hurt.

"She isn't your only friend." he said softly. "There are probably others who have tried to get close to you, but you won't admit it. No one just has one or no friends. We just choose to see it that way." he added. That was how you could tell that Jayden was a Ravenclaw. Everything he said had logic to it. It always made sense to who it was directed at. Jayden stared at Juliet and frowned slightly. "Fine by me, I don't want to marry you anyways." he said and started walking away again. He couldn't believe that he'd just fought with her about her blood status or that he even had that conversation with her mother in the first place. He wanted to pretend like it was all a dream, but of course he knew it wasn't.

She slowly looked down, and turned away from him. "oh.." was all she mumbled. Truthfully, she did want to marry him, as she had always had a crush on him, although she would've never admitted it. She started to walk in the opposite direction, sighing softly as she headed back to the cafe to get a coffee or tea of some sorts. She kept her eyes looking at the ground. She finally admitted her small crush on him to herself, something not even dani knew. Juliet sat down at a table in the cafe and sat there, staring at the window, wondering what she was going to do. She knew and heard lenty of girls in her classes talking about him, they all liked him.

Juliet ordered a coffee and waited for it, she couldn't -- or rather didn't know what to do with herself. Her mother had an act going for her. Pureblood. Just a bloodstatus, but why was it so important to some people? It's not like sheasked to be put in this act. And suddenly jayden, was harsh, even for her. She stared down at her now steaming coffee, a blank expression on her face.

Jayden was always a calm person. He always tried to think rationally about anything that was said to him, but this just caught him so off guard that he couldn't think of a better way to react. Maybe he'd been too harsh with Juliet. He honestly felt bad for shouting at her and saying all those things. He hadn't meant to hurt her feelings or anything, but he just wasn't ready for any of this. And he was hurt by the fact that his parents didn't believe that he could make his own plans when it came to this topic. But he wasn't really giving them much choice by not even having a girlfriend or anything.

No matter how bad he felt for everything he did and said to Juliet he wasn't going to go back and apologize. He did have some kind of pride, and that was something his father always said. Never apologize for something you know you were right about. He knew that he was right about some of those things, which ones, that he didn't know, but he was right. And he wasn't going to go back. He would talk to her after though, when they were both calmed down.
