Up until now, it had only been her and Amanda who ran the Cafe Twin Montez. They did everything on their own, from taking customer's orders to making the food, everything was done by the two of them. Now that was going to change though, Amanda had found someone else who was their age that wanted to work there and now this girl would be put to the test. Her name was Serena Smith. Alexis didn't know why but the name sounded very familiar. The more she thought about it, the more curious she was, until she finally figured out who the girl was.

It actually made her feel bad for forgetting who she was. Serena was another friend of theirs, and they all graduated the same year and everything, which just made Alexis feel all the more bad for forgetting who the girl was. The good thing was that since she already knew her, Serena already had Alexis' trust and that made things a lot more easy. But she still had to go through the week of trail that she had placed in order for her and Amanda to be able to choose who would work for them.

She had gotten to the Cafe early, as usual, and she was shortly joined by Amanda. As owners of the Cafe, they both had to be there early. Now, after everything was set, they waited for Serena to show up before they opened the shop. Alexis just hoped that she wouldn't be late, or else that would be a bad start for her and it would be bad for her shop if they opened late because of Serena.

Serena needed to feed her sister before she had to go to work today. Soon her neighbour aunt arrived. She said she needs to go now and she hugged her sister and she took her bag. She did step out of her house and walked to the Cafe Twin Montez. She was sure she will be late but actually when she arrived, she discovered that she was actually 5 minutes earlier here.

"Hello," she said to Alexis and Amanda then. These names sounded familiar to her actually. Soon she remembered who they were. They were Ser's friends at school but she lost her connection after gratuading. She actually losted it with her all friends. She had quite difficult and complicated life right now still and then it was even more. She tries now get her own life back. She needs her friends in her life more than then, when she was at school.

Alexis looked at her watch and frowned slightly. "Five more minutes and we open." she told Amanda and the blonde nodded. They weren't going to wait for Serena to show up whenever she pleased. In five minutes the Cafe was going to open and if she got there later, she would be sent home. Alexis was through giving people too many chances, of course Serena would be allowed a second chance, as this was her first, but if she was going to be late once what was going to stop her from not letting it happen again?

However, a few moments later, Serena arrived and Alexis nodded at Amanda. The sign was turned and the Cafe was officially open for the day. Alexis walked over to Serena and smiled, it was a cold smile, unlike the one she usually wore while she was at Hogwarts. It threw some people off, and they usually wondered where the loving and kind girl she was went. What they didn't know was that she had been running with a pack of murderous werewolves, and now, even though they were 'reformed', she had remained the same and was now as most figured, loyal to the Death Eaters. "You were close to being late Serena." she said, in a cold voice. "Do not let it happen again." she added, and turned around. "I'll leave her to you for a bit Amanda. I've got something to do." Alexis told the blonde girl and went into her office.

Amanda turned to Serena and smiled. "Sorry about that Serena. Alexis isn't the same girl from our Hogwarts years. A lot has happened to her, so don't take what she says too personally." Amanda explained. "Anyways, welcome to the Cafe Twin Montez. I'll be the one training you the majority of the time, but Alexis will be training you as well - when she has time. The uniform here isn't that strict. you can wear whatever you like as long as it's not too revealing. But you will need to wear this apron that shows you work here." the girl clarified. "In the pocket on the left you'll find a notepad to take orders with and on the right, there's a pen for you to use. We'll be putting you on a week's trail to see if you are fit to work here. There is a major flood of customers during the day, especially around 2 to 3, and as easy as this job may seem, it really isn't." Amanda continued. "We've just opened, so there might not be many people coming in. But be on you feet, because anyone can come in at any time." As she finished her sentence, a man around twenty years old came in and waited at the podium to be seated. "Like now." she smiled at Serena and went over to the man. She led him to a seat and asked him to take a look at the menu while someone came.

"Alright, he's your customer. Just go up to him and say 'Good morning. Welcome to the Cafe Twin Montez. May I take your order?' and wait until he decides on what to get. You write it down and go over there to the window." she indicated to a window where there was a rack to put the papers on. "Put the paper on the rack and I'll make the order. Alright?" she winked and nodded in the direction of the man. "Go ahead." With that Amanda headed into the kitchen and watched Serena from the window where she had indicated too.

Serena only nooded to that what Alexis said. When Amanda talked she only nooded couple of times. After Amanda talk she looked at that men for awhile. Before she walked to the man she did put that apron on. "Good Morning! Welcome to the Cafe Twin Montez. May I take your order," she said/asked from that man with smile. Man still looked at that menu. Soon he decided to order lobster, coffee and cheese cake. Ser writed it all down and then she smiled again to that man. Then she walked to that window and put the paper on the rack.

To be honest then Serena is not the same girl from their Hogwarts years either. She is changed little bit. She now cares more about people around her.

Amanda watched as Serena hesitated in approaching the customer. She noted that the girl seemed just a bit nervous, but she was able to get over it and walk up to him. Her greeting seemed a little bit strained and overly excited, which wasn't exactly good. She would tell her to tone it down a bit later on, but right now, she only watched as Serena waited for the man to give her his order. He finally did so, and Serena came up to the window where she was and put the paper on the rack as she had instructed her to do. "Good start Serena but this is only the beginning." It seemed that as if on cue, more people began to come in and they started lining up at the podium, waiting to be seated. Amanda needed to make the lobster for the man, so she couldn't attend them, but Serena couldn't either, she was to stay with one person for now. Amanda didn't seem worried though, and she just turned around after taking the paper from the rack and began to make the lobster.

In her office, Alexis could hear that there was more chatter in the Cafe, that meant more people had begun to come in. She got up from her seat, dropped her pencil and put her apron on. She fixed her hair and pulled down her shirt a bit, before opening the door and looking at the line that had formed at the podium. Her gaze moved to Serena and then back to the podium. The brunette walked to the line and smiled at the customers, "Welcome to Cafe Twin Montez." she said smoothly. The first person in the line was a woman with a five year old girl and a toddler who was about one. The woman asked for a table for two and a high chair. "Certainly, please follow me." Alexis smiled at her and lead them to a far off table where two people could sit and she brought a highchair over to that same table. "Someone will be here momentarily to take your order." was the last thing she said before she walked over to Serena. "Take their orders, and move quickly as I seat people. Except for the last one, I got that one." she said and walked away.

The line now had three more parties waiting and one was a fairly large one. Alexis did her best to seat them all quickly; the first party was of a man and a woman with a two year old daughter, they were seated near the woman with the two children. The second party was of two men and women, probably dating, and they were sat at a table for four on the other side of the Cafe. The last party, and the largest, was of one man, two women, two boys and two girls, making seven people in total and they were sat in the middle, after putting two tables together to make sure they all fit. "May I take your order?" she asked them, taking her pen and notepad out quickly as they all began to tell her what they wanted, and she scribbled it all down. "Alright, so ... Two chicken wings meals, a hamburger meal, a mac & cheese meal, and three cesar salads?" she asked them to be sure. They all said yes and nodded. "And for drinks?" she asked. They all said different drinks and she did the same as before, "A Sprite, two orange sodas, one root beer and three diet cokes?" Again they agreed and Alexis nodded and smiled. "I will return with your drinks shortly."she said and she walked into the kitchen after putting the paper on the rack. She came back out a few minutes later with the seven drinks. "Here you go." she said passing them down on the table as the people scrambled to get the drink that was theirs.

Serena nooded to Alexis and then walked to that table, where did sit woman with two children. "Good Morning, may I take your order?" she asked from them. Woman looked to the menu for awhile. Soon she ordered. "Alright, so... three ceasar salads?" she asked from her and she nooded. "And for drinks?" Ser asked. "Three orange juice," woman said. Ser had written everything down already actually. "Your drinks will come shortly," she said to her and walked to window to put paper on the rack again. She took then one coffee and aslo three orange juices from kitchen or somewhere. Soon she walked back to that table. "Here you go," she said and did put their drinks on the table. She alos walked to that mand, who came here first. "Here you go," she said to him awhile she did put his coffee on table.

After that she went next table where was sitting woman, men and 2 years old girl. "Good Morning, may i take you order?" she asked from them. "Three ceasar salads," woman said their orders. Ser did write it down. "And for drinks?" she asked. "Two coffee and one orange juice," men said that this time. "I will be back with your drinks shortly," she said to them and walked to that table where did sit two men and woman.

"Good Morning, May i take your order?" she asked from them. "We would like to order one french fries and two cheeseburger meals," woman said to Serena. "And for drinks?" Ser asked while she written their foods down. "Three coffee," still the woman said it. "I will be back with your drinks shortly," she said to them and walked to the window and did put two papers on the rack.

She did take some drinks with her and walked first back to the table where did sit woman, men and child. "Here you go," she said and did put on the table two coffees and one orange juice. After she walked to the table where did sit two men and woman. "Here you go," she said to them and did put their coffees on the table.

She seemed to be doing well. That was clear to Alexis, Serena caught on quickly enough and she was acting as a waitress should. According to Amanda, though, she had hesitated at first. Lucky for her, Alexis hadn't seen this or she would've been out already. There no hesitation in her shop, not any at all. It seemed a little strict, but she didn't care. It was her shop and she wasn't going to have anyone slack while there worked for her. If the Death Eaters taught her anything, it was to not show any mercy towards anyone, or else it would eventually come back to bite you in the butt. The first order was done as Amanda indicated by ringing the bell on the counter, "Serena." Alexis called, nodding toward the food, telling the girl to get it t the person who had ordered it.

Alexis looked around the Cafe, everyone seemed pleased enough, which was good. No unpleased customers, more business. That was how Alexis wanted to keep it, and she would have it that way, no matter what it took. More of the orders began to come out and because Serena was busy with the first one, Alexis took the second one and brought it over to the table. "Here is your order ma'am." the brunette told the woman with the two kids and she placed everything out in front of them. Alexis worked faster than most people, it was a force of habit that she had. She couldn't help it even if she tried.

The woman thanked her for it, and the little girl also thanked her. Alexis smiled as warmly as she could, for the sake of the little girl, and walked away calmly. The smile faded quickly after she turned around and she walked back to the counter where Amanda had already placed the large order of food and Alexis took that one as well, leaving the third one for Serena to do. She walked over to the table where the seven people sat and she smiled at them, "Here are your orders." as she began to put them out on the table. "Enjoy." she gave a slight bow and she walked over to the counter again, where Amanda was smiling at her. "Getting pretty good at that fake act huh?" she asked with a cold smirk. "Yeah, pretty easy after you do it once or twice." Alexis returned in an evenly cold voice.

Serena then walked to Alexis and took her first order then. She walked to the men, who had ordered it. "Here is your orded, sir," she said with smile to him and put her food on the table. Soon she took the third order and went to the table were was seated two men and woman. "Here are your orders," she said to them and began put the on table. "Enjoy," she said with smile and walked to the counter now too.

Ser looked at that one year girl who was eating now. She quite much reminded to Serena her sister, who was right now at home. She actually would like to go and be with her sister now. She suddenly just misses her, she is really everything for her now. Only familymember who Ser actually has left.

The day had been pretty good for the most part. After those few people who came in, the day had been a little slow but that didn't matter. Now it was fifteen minutes to closing time and Alexis was actually a bit grateful for that. Normally, she would want to stay in the cafe longer but right now she couldn't wait to get out. The full moon was going to be out soon and that was really bad for her. She needed to get everyone away from her so no one could see her in her wolf form and recognize her from some accident.

Since her attack on those Hogwarts kids, Alexis had been a little on edge for everything. Fifteen minutes was nothing, no one would care if they closed a bit earlier than usual. Alexis looked at Amanda and the girl nodded cautiously, knowing that it was time for her to go. Amanda walked over to Serena and said, "Hey Serena, we're going to be closing soon, so you can leave now if you want." to the girl. "I'm leaving now anyways, so we can just go together. Alexis said it was fine." she added, hoping the girl would leave early with her.

Serena was thiking of her sister and also of her mother, who did past awsy last year. She really do miss her mother. "It's time to close already?" she asked and looked at Amanda. She was very confused. She really didn't think time will go this fast when you work. Ser looked at the watch and it was really time to close this place. "It really is time to close it here," she said quietly to herself.

"Sure. We can go," she said to Amanda and looked around for awhile. She walked outside and did stand there middle of that street there, she just need to think which way was her home.
