Amanda watched as Serena hesitated in approaching the customer. She noted that the girl seemed just a bit nervous, but she was able to get over it and walk up to him. Her greeting seemed a little bit strained and overly excited, which wasn't exactly good. She would tell her to tone it down a bit later on, but right now, she only watched as Serena waited for the man to give her his order. He finally did so, and Serena came up to the window where she was and put the paper on the rack as she had instructed her to do. "Good start Serena but this is only the beginning." It seemed that as if on cue, more people began to come in and they started lining up at the podium, waiting to be seated. Amanda needed to make the lobster for the man, so she couldn't attend them, but Serena couldn't either, she was to stay with one person for now. Amanda didn't seem worried though, and she just turned around after taking the paper from the rack and began to make the lobster.
In her office, Alexis could hear that there was more chatter in the Cafe, that meant more people had begun to come in. She got up from her seat, dropped her pencil and put her apron on. She fixed her hair and pulled down her shirt a bit, before opening the door and looking at the line that had formed at the podium. Her gaze moved to Serena and then back to the podium. The brunette walked to the line and smiled at the customers, "Welcome to Cafe Twin Montez." she said smoothly. The first person in the line was a woman with a five year old girl and a toddler who was about one. The woman asked for a table for two and a high chair. "Certainly, please follow me." Alexis smiled at her and lead them to a far off table where two people could sit and she brought a highchair over to that same table. "Someone will be here momentarily to take your order." was the last thing she said before she walked over to Serena. "Take their orders, and move quickly as I seat people. Except for the last one, I got that one." she said and walked away.
The line now had three more parties waiting and one was a fairly large one. Alexis did her best to seat them all quickly; the first party was of a man and a woman with a two year old daughter, they were seated near the woman with the two children. The second party was of two men and women, probably dating, and they were sat at a table for four on the other side of the Cafe. The last party, and the largest, was of one man, two women, two boys and two girls, making seven people in total and they were sat in the middle, after putting two tables together to make sure they all fit. "May I take your order?" she asked them, taking her pen and notepad out quickly as they all began to tell her what they wanted, and she scribbled it all down. "Alright, so ... Two chicken wings meals, a hamburger meal, a mac & cheese meal, and three cesar salads?" she asked them to be sure. They all said yes and nodded. "And for drinks?" she asked. They all said different drinks and she did the same as before, "A Sprite, two orange sodas, one root beer and three diet cokes?" Again they agreed and Alexis nodded and smiled. "I will return with your drinks shortly."she said and she walked into the kitchen after putting the paper on the rack. She came back out a few minutes later with the seven drinks. "Here you go." she said passing them down on the table as the people scrambled to get the drink that was theirs.
