What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. People may not like it, but I had an idea. More and more people graduate every year and our number of orange names is constantly growing. I especially notice it when you look at the users at the bottom and the majority of the text is the same color. I thought maybe instead of grouping all graduates in the same color you could instead color them in a darker version of their ex-house. For example:

Or something along those lines. (Not sure if the first set would be dark enough to destinguish so I added a second, darker, set.)I know it would be a bit of work but I willing to help out if you needed it.Yay for color!

So, would graduates who come from other places like Durmstrang remain in orange, hypothetically?

That sounds right. Just leave the people who didn't go to Hogwarts as orange. I'm glad people approve :3

My own thought is that the more colors we have, the more confusing it becomes. Thats why we have only, basically, the four house colors and the orange for grads. i believe there is a place in your profiles where you can put, for example, ex-slytherin, perhaps besides your grad status. i'll double check. sort of in a hurry this am, but it seems like that would be the easiest solution.

Adding more colors is something we've tried and it always gets entirely too chaotic once we've had it awhile. So, for clarity's sake, we've always found, through experience, that simple is far better.

but thats just my thought.

Seeing as 80% of characters are graduates, this is a very good idea. We'll add this on the next update and see how it looks.

I like it, colours are pretty and all that jazz. Would just be a pain having to group all the ex-students into new "Ex-house" groups.
But heck, i would go for it.
