Closing for the night

Oded laughed and said, "I'm the owner and i live just upstairs in the very first room. I am glad that i could get something good to eat. I try my best to make sure that if i cook for someone that they are well fed and that the food is made right. I tend to be a night owl seeing as i'm a vampire and all, but there are only certain times that you will see me in the day time. I tend to make myself sleep during the day but i am reachable if someone needs me at all, i have an employee in the daytime and i work at night. I try to make sure my employee doesn't have to overwork himself while he's here even though he would work till the next day if i don't kick him out first."

"Well I think you can be really proud of your employee, there's not a lot of people who actually loves their job" She said to him with a small smile remembering that she has already meet his employee .

A sudden thought came to her mind and she couldn't contain the question that was running on her head "Do you feed with humans blood? Or from animals?" Elizabeth feel like a ungrateful person once the question came out.

"You should control your mouth Elizabeth! He is being nice and helping you, and this is how you pay him?" Her mind was screaming at her.

"I'm sorry!! Its not to be rude or mean ... I'm just curious, I know you wouldn't try and bite me " Elizabeth said trying to do some damage control.

Oded laughed and said, "I drink a mixture of both, i don't really like the taste of either but with them both mixed together it's not so bad. I am really proud of Tristan, he's really great worker. I hope to have more just like him, then I know that i will have hard workers all the time." He grinned and took another swig from his bottle. "You are quite right i wouldn't try and bite you, I don't like the idea of feeding from humans."

Feelings of calmness run through her body. Of course she knew he wouldn’t do anything to her, but it was good to hear it from him. Elizabeth offered him a small smile once she finished her food “I know I eat kind of fast, but I was hungry.... Besides it was really good” she told him with an small laugh “So how long have you been a vampire?” she asked him until she saw him with wide eyes “I am so rude" covering her forehead with her hand “I can clean the dishes! I mean you have done too much for me, and this is the least I could do"

"I have been a vampire since i was seventeen years of age, it was kind of hard since i was finishing school. i worked through that though, i finished school then decided to buy this shop and i did. I could tell you were hungry and you don't have to do the dishes i don't mind doing them." Oded said smiling as he gathered up the dishes and walked over to the sink putting them in.

"It must been hard" She said still in her seat watching him put the dishes in the sink " I mean at that age we all have our, you know, teenage problems... And to deal with that and being a vampire, it's too much"

"But in "human years" " she told him doing something awkward with her hands when she said the human years part "How old are you?" Elizabeth finished with a small smile and a raised eyebrow.

Oded laughed softly and said, "I am 28 years old here. I had struggles when i was in school, most of the time i was only out at night and i was picked on because of this. The teachers were somewhat scared and i was put in a single room because they wanted to make sure i didn't accidently bite another student."

"Wow so you are 28?" Elizabeth told him with a small smirk "I was actually waiting something more like 100 ... you know,like in all the movies." She laugh.

"Oh god..." she saw him with wide eyes when she heard her comment"it's not that im calling you old ! I mean it's nice to know a vampire close to my age"Elizabeth finished with an awkward smile.

Oded laughed loudly and said, "It's alright Elizabeth, most people think that i am a lot older than i am. If i may ask, how old are you?" He grinned at her wondering how old she was. "Don't worry i wouldn't have thought you were calling me old or anything hun."

" You don't ask a woman her age" she told him smiling while resting her arms on the table "Well that is what a lot women say, luckily for you I am not one of them" Elizabeth continued talking with a small smile " I am 22 going to 23 in a few months"
