What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

I've always thought more like cart.

it's a double a people, means the sound is emphasised - you should all pay more attention in english Wink

Psh, the English language is so messed up anyway.. rules don't matter.

I have pronounced it like cat forever.. I will continue to pronounce it cat, why?

Felix always calls her Kitty Khaat XDD

Edit: If it's emphasized on the double a.. why did you change it to an R Jess?

Purely for expression of sound - it's the more "ah" ish sound in my ears, but generally that's more similar to "ar" than "at" or "an"

I think it's a soft A, the "ah" thing, but I may be getting hard and soft mixed up.

regardless, you should all really go with your won preferences - I don't care for the rules of rise, he will always be rheece in my eyes/ears.

The real drama comes in RL. People just can't seem to understand that my name is Jess.. not Jessie, Jase... some people are silly like that

Have avoided thinking too much about it since I first saw it a few minutes ago.

Just a note, Matt's name has caused me many a drama - because he's had like 20 of them, and they've all be variants of "Matt Lestrange"
