What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Hitame coughed quietly as she watched the Professor talk. She looked down for a second in though, and quickly wrote something on a piece of parchment she had in front of her. Then she looked up at the professor and raised her hand. Before saying anything, she cleared her throat and sighed. "Um ... Professor? Would anyother one of those restrications be the use of magic by an underage witch it wizard?" she asked, not sure if what she said was right.

Hitame lowered her hand and looked down at the piece of parchment again. She bit her lip and wrote something else on it. She wrote down what she had said and what the older boy said to the Professor. Hitame was hardly ever one to take notes but she it gave her something to do instead of being bored and staring off into space.

Roxi settled herself, turning to talk to a Hufflepuff girl who had come in. The girl was always coming to Roxi for advice on boys, so Roxi was very sweet to her and gave her the best advice- which outfits were revealing but not trashy, how to tease, all of the essentials that every girl should know. And the girl, Lola, was always so incredibly thankful.

The professor called for order and began speaking- Roxi settled herself, trying not to shift too much. She turned to Sam and whispered- in a voice louder than a typical normal tone- to him, “YOU HAVE ANY GUM?” The professor’s question, however, was one she could answer, so she turned her attention to him. Se jumped in her seat, whirling her hand around. “OOH! You can’t bring someone back from the dead!”

Sam chuckled and took his seat next to Roxie, sitting there for a few moments before the class really began. He was still pretty stoked about the new professor not being Barker, he'd heard about the Wolfen fellow, but not really seen him out and about - this was quite different, and he liked it a lot.

He then turned his attention back to Roxie as he heard her speaking to him. "Nope, sorry," he lied. He had a full pack in his bag, but he was sick, and was worried about how contagious he might be. There was no chance he was going to share food with anyone.

He raised his hand as the professor spoke, and silently cursed as his two first thoughts were used by others. "You can't create love," he answered, not bother to be asked upon (no one else had.) "You can create simulations of it, and create infatuation, but true love can't be magically created," he muttered off towards the end, blushing bright red as he buried his face under his desk 'Looking for books'

James Manson looked at his class as some smile appeared on his face. "Correct Mr. Haversham. You cannot create food out of nothing."James Manson said looking at Sebastian. "That is 10 points for Ravenclaw."He said giving a soft smile. He then looked at the girls who started to talk.

"Um ... Professor? Would anyother one of those restrications be the use of magic by an underage witch it wizard?". Miss Higurashi said that as he looked at her. "I can say it as yes, it doesn't really is a law, but I can understand that people would think it. Magic can be very dangerous and that is why you can't do magic outside of Hogwarts, that is really important."James Manson said. "For that answer you get 10 points for Gryffindor."He said giving another smile as people start to speak

The next girl was the student known as Weasley. "Correct Miss Weasley."He said as he looked at her. "The Departmnt of Mysteries is trying to solve that problem. But how much we really want to bring the people back from the dead, we can't just yet."He said as he looked outside the window. "There are elixers for it, and we can predict deaths, but to reverse it that is not possible, the only thing you could do is try to prevent it."James said. "So all we can do is wait, until the wizards of the Department of Mysteries can find out the solution of it."He said as he stayed looking at the window.

He then got out of his thoughts as Samuel Grigori talked. "Ohh Miss Weasley before I forget 10 points for Gryffindor."He said. He then looked at Samuel. "You can't create love that is correct."He siad. "We can simulate it, but who am I to talk about that. Your Professor of Potions can explain the Amortentia."He said as he gave a look at Gregori who ducked away. "So MR. Grigori 10 points for you too."He said giving a soft smile on his face.

"Thank you all for trying your best in the class. You have the knowledge of Transfiguration."He said as he looked at them. "Now what I stilll haven't heard, will appear on the board. I want you guys to answer or explain why you can't do that."He said as he tapped his wand against the Chalkboard.

Written in a handwriting that anyone could see, he looked at it.

The Limits of Transfiguration: The Theory

  • Money
  • Medicine/Potions
  • Knowledge
  • Animagus
  • Register
  • Human Transformation (Other then Animagus)

He then waited for the class to answer one of those points/subjects.

Roxi was awarded ten points to Gryffindor, something that rarely (if ever) happened, and a radiant smile burst onto her face and she kicked her feet a little. One of her legs connected with the lip of the desk, so with her smile still stretched from ear to war, she said, "ow" and rubbed the spot that had hit the table. Sam answered a question too and she turned to hip holding up a hand for him to high-five, simultaneously grunting in a lower, gruff voice, "Gryffin-DOR!"

The Professor continued on and she let her eyes travel his form as he turned his attention to the chalkboard- Roxi was not typically into professors, per se, but Professor Manson was a younger man and, therefore, not out of her scope of... possibilities. She looked to the list and her brain crackled and went blank, staring with an open mouth at the board. "Well... money is 'cause what's the point in having money if anyone can make it..." Wow, eloquent. "Professor, what do you mean by 'register'?"

Sam grinned as more points went his way - he was really killing it today, which always felt great. "I don't get the register bit either," he agreed with Roxie, flashing a smile her way momentarily before continuing "However we can't be an animagus, yet, because it takes years of training and practice to become one. Basically it can be done, just not by us - the same goes for non-animagus human transformation, it's a type of magic that can be performed, but it requires a fair amount skill which we, as students, simply don't have... it probably goes for most of the things on that list that it can be done, but there are reasons why it shouldn't be done, or conditions it can be done in," he answered

"The register or what is known by the Ministry as a list of all the Animagus in the world, is used to keep it legal enough for wizards to only have 1 Animagus form."Professor James Manson said as he looked to his class. "That is why I put The Register on it, because the Register is mostly one of the reasons there is a limit in Transfiguration. It is hard for people to change, and the limit of the register keeps it that way too."James Manson said looking to the students. "But before we go further on the points on the board. Can someone tell me how you can see a Animagus and the Person who is behind it?'He asked. "So as I mean, Are there any features that shows you, who is just a normal cat or who is a Animagus?"He asked as he looked around the class.

Hitame tilted her head to the side as she listened to the Professor. She looked down at the piece of parchment in front of her and she tried to write down what the Professor said as best as she could. When he asked a question, she raised her hand into the air. "Well one thing would be the life spans between us and the animals." she said. "A cat has a shorter life span than we do. So if someone's Animagus is a cat, they will live longer than an ordinary cat would." she explained. Hitame felt like she was over explaining things, so she decided to leave it at that and not say anything else.

Notes weren’t something that really needed to be taken on this subject but Cerelia did it anyway just to keep up the pretence of being a good student - and make no mistake, she was a good student but the same laziness that was evident in her brothers usually appeared in her when she knew things. She was not particularly fond of having things repeated to her so instead for the most part she just read from her Dark Arts textbook charmed to look like a Transfiguration text book to the prying eye and occasionally scribbled something down pertaining to Transfiguration that made her look as if she were taking. She listened though not particularly attentively, preferring what her book was describing rather than the inaccuracy of the lesson that the man was trying - and failing - to conduct properly. Nothing really affected Cerelia as he was going through it, not until he spoke about the Animagus Registry - that was when he became very, very wrong. Cerelia only just managed to reign in the snort of disbelief before promptly tossing her arm up into the air.

“Please, sir. You are wrong.” Cerelia told him, smiling indulgently. “Animagi are not restricted to only one form by the Ministry of Magic as you suggest. Animagi can only have one form. It is impossible for them to have more than one form because the form is not chosen by the Wizard - it is determined by their inner selves.” Cerelia closed her book for a moment, keeping her spare hand in between the pages and added, “Also, the Animagus can inherit the traits of their human counterpart - whether that is a physical or acquired trait.”

"Good point Miss Higurashi 5 points for Gryffindor again."He said. "Well if you wouldn't be taken the lead soon, I don't know what would happen then."He said. "The fact that many students of Gryffindor are here is maybe the reason."He said as he looked at the girl. He then turned around to look at Miss Avery.

"Miss Avery may I inform you, that if you try to be smarter then me that you need to do your history. Since the beginning of magic people couldn't or didn't thought they would succes in changing into more animals. People have been turned into half person half animal in History. A example is Victor Kruml who has been on Durmstrang were you have been."He said. "The fact is that the Ministry never allows it anymore ever since the 16th century."James said trying to be polite before he was getting angry. "In the 16th century there were Animagus, one specific was Jacob Walker. He was a Scorpion as Animagus, and he tried to be a Lion too. It went wrong. He mixed himself and stayed forever as a Lion and look what happened afterwards. Ever heard the tale of the manticore."He said, "That is how Mr Jacob Walker got his end, and that is how the fun fact about the Manticore came."James said. "So if you still think the Ministry doesn't allow two animagus form then you are wrong. They hide that history ever since that went wrong. So it has his own way."James said.

"But you are correct, since then it determines the inner self."James Manson said as he looked at her. "Now let's get back to the answer from Avery. Physical condition."he said. He grabbed a bit of a nice as he cut himself in his arm. He then changed to a eagle as he looked at the students. On his left wing you could see some blood and a scar that showed the same as his arm. He then changed back. "As you can see, if I cut myself on my arm, the animal would have the same thing on his leg, wing or anything else. That also concludes that if you lose like a toe, the same animagus has the same thing missing."He said.

"Now can anyone tell me is being a Metamorphmagus a limit of Transfiguration or not?"James Manson asked looking around the class
