GENERAL APPEARANCE:
- Matt is a rather handsome fellow but a bit on the geeky side of the gene pool. He has a wardrobe that matches his personality. Normally consisting of sweaters and the occasional suit or tie but that depends on what kind of mood he's in or what he plans on doing. He doesn't go over the top for dressing up though-and he only owns two pairs of shoes and that system works. He enjoys jeans more than anything but when he's feeling lazy he'll throw on some sweats or PJ bottoms.
He likes to keep his hair short and gelled. Sometime's it's up and sometimes it's down; but mostly up. As for facial hair, he prefers clean shaven. The five o'clock shadow thing just doesn't work for him. And a mustache just makes him look like a Mexican pedophile. He likes to keep his boyish innocent look because it's gotten him ladies over the years and is still going strong.

PERSONALITY:
- Matt is a guy who pretty much everyone likes. His friends love his company because he can make them feel good. But when it's time to get serious he gives excellent advice and comments on the situation. If someone's feeling down Matt will be there to cheer them up and make them happy again. He's always there for a friend no matter what and keeps MOST promises he makes. People either hate him or love him as soon as they meet him. He treats his close friends like family and treats the people who don't like him as decent people.
When Matt is upset he gets really upset though. He can be a bit of a drama queen and can sometimes go missing for days because he needs to stop and think. He can normally be found at his cabin in the wilderness in Canada. Nobody has ever seen it but him and it's rumoured to have nothing but a chair in it; what a preposterous idea that is! But Matt is still recovering from drug addiction so his emotions are still in bad shape even though it has been half a year.
When Matt is pissed you do not want to get in his way. He rarely gets that pissed; but when he does he doesn't think things through much. But when someone just ticks him off he keeps as cool as possible. What's better is when he shows someone up in an argument. His main cause for getting pissed however is relationships and his family. He carries the name with him wherever he goes and gets tons of flack for it.
However when someone is in need of help with relationships Matt is there. If someone needs advice or techniques to get a girl Matt is your guy. He's always there for a bro if he needs help and always there for a girl if she's upset or needs help to get a guy. He's that friend who always gives the best relationship advice but is still single. Plus he has some great fashion tips for girls. He's always there for anything anyone needs.
When he's fighting he's more defensive than offensive. Not that he lacks skill in offensive magic. He just prefers to use the environment around him in battle. Such as making the ceiling collapse on an opponent or sending a big rock hurtling towards them. But he's always there if some big defensive magic needs to be done.

CHARACTER HISTORY

Early Years:
- Matt grew up knowing he was a Lestrange and enjoying every minute of it. From an early age he was being taught about the dark arts and Voldemort. He took to it with interest and was a quick learner. His aunt, Bellatrix, took a certain interest in him as a child and throughout his years at Hogwarts. She was always giving him special treatment compared to the other Lestrange children. Matt always made her proud with how he treated other children: horribly.
She personally took him shopping for his school supplies and bought him an eagle owl that was particularly vicious. Everything he owned was brand new and expensive. He was a bit of a brat until he went to Hogwarts. His relationship with his aunt grew stronger over the years and even through his years at Hogwarts. His father never treated him properly and never really gave him a second thought. So he ended up staying with her alot.

Hogwarts Years:
- Matt was an average student throughout his years at Hogwarts. As a Slytherin student, he of course had some attitude and an act for picking on other students; particularly Hufflepuffs. He fit in well with the other students but never acted up too much. He was mostly secretive with his bullying and preferred pranks to physical or verbal harm. He didn't bother too much with the Gryffindors as the headmaster was the ex-head of house during his years at school. But as he matured he grew away from pranks and bullying and towards studies, socializing, and girls.
He never had a set place to stay at the summers besides the Lestrange mansion with his Auntie and family. He enjoyed his visits there of course but over the years he drifted away from the place. Wanting to experience the world and go travelling. He still received lessons in the Dark Arts from his Auntie and listening to some of her stories that got better over the years. Eventually he would start throwing his own little flair into his lessons with her.
Matt's fourth year played a very crucial role in his life. This was the year he stopped picking on other kids and started trying to attract womens attention. Matt was a bit on the tubby side throughout his school year but he started caring when he was 14. He started slimming out and actually playing around with gel in his hair trying to look "cool". His grades were falling in the process and after a loud howler from his father he started to work harder. He planned on being one of the greatest Death Eaters in history-but that didn't work out well did it now?
Matt had a total of three big relationships throughout his seven years at Hogwarts. Two were with Slytherin girls and they were HOT. But they ended up not being his type-he never actually liked Slytherin girls. And in his sixth year he started noticing this one Ravenclaw girl. She was beautiful and smart too! The first time he approached her on the grounds one day she slapped him and thought it was a dirty trick. It took some convincing but she eventually agreed to go out with him-in secret of course. Their secret relationship lasted two years and only ended when Matt decided to become a Death Eater. She didn't like that idea and they got into a huge argument. He knew it was going to happen but didn't want it to, he loved her. And now it still bugs him, thinking about what could have been.
This drove everything he had put into the back of his mind forward and he wanted to murder and cause havoc...his Auntie couldn't have been more proud.
Adulthood:
- As you can plainly see, Matt's Auntie plays a large role in his early and teenage development. As good of a Death Eater that Matt was it didn't suit him. Sure he was into it for a few years as he still felt the rage of everything that bothered him throughout Hogwarts. It's still unclear as to why Matt was sorted into Slytherin. I mean look at what he is today...so now to his Adulthood...*Fade to Black*
When Matt got out of Hogwarts he knew he wanted to be a Death Eater but wasn't sure what else he had wanted to do. He thought about going into teaching or maybe something to do with the Department of Mysteries. Eventually he found himself as the Head of the Department of Mysteries. At the young age that he was this was a large feet for anyone. It was also around this time that he met his late wife Emmy. She was the girl of his dreams, pretty, smart, a healer, and funny. And by the age of 24 Matt was happily married-but was beginning to rethink is choices over the years.
Around this time Matt began to rethink his choice of becoming a Death Eater. He was hesitant to participate at meetings and speak up, he didn't find the need to kill anymore, and well his job wasn't as rewarding as before. This girl changed Matt entirely-and when he found out that she was pregnant he decided that it was time to end things with the Death Eaters. It was a risk he was going to have to take. He didn't want to be a part of that crack pot group of nut jobs anymore and was sick of his job.
The Death Eaters weren't pleased with him and sent his Auntie personally to destroy him and his family. By the time she found him he had already joined the Order of the Phoenix and was preparing for his first good dead to make up for hundreds of bad ones. She was totally out of character when they met. She seemed calm and slightly sad-asking where things went wrong and what happened. This wasn't the Auntie Matt knew. She would have tried to kill him 13 times by now-what the hell was going on. But she proved him right by the end of the meeting. It turned out that a group of people had kidnapped Emmy and the twins and were planning on killing them.
As he apparated to his home to find the whole place ripped apart he could still see the smile of Bellatrix in his brain. He was so angry that his eyes were on fire and his wand was vibrating to the point of exploding. But he wasn't fast enough and by the time he found Emmy she was gone. Matt was upset and had never been more angry at the world than anything. He never found his twins and that didn't help how he felt. NOBODY could help him at this point. By age 25 Matt had been married, become a father, quit his job, and ditched the Death Eaters. They didn't want him dead anymore; they figured he was as good as anyway with nothing to live for anymore...so he turned to drugs.
Matt was gone for two years-nobody saw him not even his closest friends. Throughout those two years Matt had been addicted to nearly every muggle and wizard drug imaginable. But after a year of drug addiction Matt got help. In THAT year he developed a bond with his wand. It became a part of him-they could communicate and his wand could sense his feelings. Now, at the age of 27, Matt is back and sober again. A happier man-ready to live and enjoy his life with his friends. Rejoining the Order Matt wants to make a difference in this world in honour of his late family. He's ready to kick some ass
