GENERAL APPEARANCE: Fionn is one of those gangly kids who look like they're all made up out of sticks. He walks head-downwards in a slouch, scuffing his shoes uselessly along the street. There's nothing wrong, he's just a budding teenager.
His favourite clothes are well worn jeans and jumpers. Given new ones you can rely on him scavenging the old from the bottom of his drawers or even a dirty washing basket in order to avoid having to go through the agony of the wearing in phase. Or perhaps it's just that he cannot abide the notion of doing as somebody asks of him.

DEMENTOR: There was this time when he was at school and everyone ganged up on this one kid and they heard later that the kid left the school because of it. Fionn always felt really bad about that.

PERSONALITY: Fionn is a little naive, being both eleven years old and a muggleborn to boot. Unlike some children, he is not the type to read up on Hogwarts before he's even got there, looking at it more as an exciting adventure that he'd rather not be forewarned about. However, his wide-eyed wonder and seemingly shy demeanour doesn't stop him having a stubborn streak, especially if he thinks someone is trying to take him for a fool.

CHARACTER HISTORY

Early Years: Fionn was born in 2014. His start in life was a little odd, when instead of learning to talk, he would simply grasp for them and suddenly, there they were in his tiny, infant hands. However, after much of the house was "childproofed" through various tyings down and stickings with tape, Fionn began to discover he had to use his words and so progressed like any normal baby would.
He began to attend the local kindergarten, where although the teachers only ever saw him acting sweetly, he seemed a menace to the other children. Welts and scratches would turn up on his playmates' skin. Some would cry at the sight of him. When confronted with this evidence; had he been scratching? Biting? Fionn could only shake his head and say they had done it to him. But his own skin was always pristine, so Fionn was banned from the kindergarten.
Before he started primary school, Fionn's parents took him to be tested. By this time, he had a brand new baby sister. Would he attack her the way he'd attacked the children at the play group? Did he have a mental deficiency? On the contrary, the muggles at the testing centre joyfully concluded. There was not a thing wrong with their child. He had probably simply been bored in that second-rate kindergarten and become exasperated with his peers' inability to keep up! Incidentally, here were some pamphlets about the testing centre's own private school.
And so Fionn went on to attend a muggle primary school (not the one attached to the testing centre). There things went better. He made friends and was moderately popular. But things were never quite perfect. Every now and again, especially when Fionn was stressed, something went bang.
Of course, all that was explained when a representative from the Ministry of Magic turned up on the doorstep one day to say that Fionn was a wizard, and by the way, he was already enrolled in a school for magic. Could this not have been mentioned sooner?
