The vampire's eyes turned an even deeper shade of red as he heard what she said. "Then let it kill me. I don't care." he hissed. The boy was getting fed up with only watching as the vampire let all his locked up emotions out. He got that the vampire part of him wanted to be around a lot more than the human part of him let it, and he got that the vampire felt hurt in some way. It didn't help that the vampire was stuck with a boy that didn't want to be what he was. But there was Nothing he could do about it, the boy was stubborn and he just hated being a vampire, having to drink blood so he didn't die and he didn't like having to hide from the sun, or having to be cold all the time. But the thing he hated the most was the reaction people gave him when they found out he was a vampire. No one understood that he didn't like being one, and they didn't understand the harm they did to him both physically and mentally when the ran from or tried to kill him.
He watched as the nurse left the area that was curtained and he burried his head in his hands. She had given him the same reaction most people gave him when they found out about him, and that was why he had basically snapped at her the way he did. The vampire had developed a defensive system for that reaction and it had been put to use again. Even though he was trying to he strong and not cry over that, all the damage from previous times that this happened came to his mind and he couldn't help it. His body began to shake and he felt tears sting his eyes and roll down his cheeks. Everyone thought of him as a monster, he hated that. Ryo's eyes went from a blood red to a dark shade of gray in a matter of seconds.
While he cried and kept his head burried in his hands, Ryo didn't even notice that classes were over and that Sarah was going to come back soon. Just then the veela girl came into the Hospital Wing and looked around. "Hello?" she called, and she headed for the Nurse's office figuring that Ryo was still asleep.
