We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!
What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.
IT'S NEW YEARS EVE, BTW! Ahem. Sooo, what's your character(s)' super-awesome theme song(s)? Pretty much self-explanatory. Personally, I just love music. I listen to all kinds of music. I breathe music. Hell, I'd marry music! Aand I'm insanely very curious to find out the ones you guys'll choose for your characters. Just state the character's name, post the song, and explain why you chose the song for that character. Good? Great? Leggo ~ !
Sabriel Eurora
Spoiler:
The singer's not the prettiest person, but I could definitely imagine Sabe's mother singing this to him as a child. He was such a scaredy-cat! He liked hearing his mother and sisters sing to him. Sabriel's gentle, helpless personality couples well with this particular song. It symbolizes his state before he started becoming more empowered and independent. This lullaby even makes me at ease. I wish my mom sang lullabies to me as a child, especially ones as nice as this. Sabe will hum this tune to himself.
Tarran Price
Spoiler:
JUST GOTTA MAKE IT ~ Trey Songz / Tremaine Neverson (play-by)
GOD. Can you say opposites? Sabe and Tarran. The list goes on and on. But, only me, I tell you. Only me. Anyhow, obviously I chose this song for Tarran because, well, it's him singing it (when he was a "baby", but still XD). The whole reason he became an Auror was to get his family some money. His mother was once actually pretty wealthy, but she blew most the money monkeying around with his father and jumping back and forth from Europe to America. All I can say is, he did his part. He's an amazing singer. A sexy ass dancer. Sexy overall, really.
Sexy overalls? Yeah. Those too.
OUTTA MY HEAD ~ Lupe Fiasco Feat. Trey Songz (play-by)
Again. Song featuring "Tarran". He loves his Squib girlfriend, Angela, to death. =D He doesn't want her to go through the same things his mother went through (you know, that whole jumping from boyfriend to boyfriend thing). He wants to be there for her forever, no matter what happens. So far, things have been going very swell! ^__^
KEEP YOUR HEAD UP ~ Andy Grammer
Damn. I love this song to pieces. And Tarran's a very optimistic character, so kudos to both him and Andy. ^__^ ((I love Andy; I want to marry him. He's my babeh. O_o)) Continuing from those unnecessary parenthesis, I love the way Andy Grammer writes, sings, looks. Hell, everything. He's so HAPPY! And Tarran's HAPPY, too. ^__^
If someone could find a good song symbolizing a strong male/male friendship, it would be much appreciated.
So... um I have too many characters to post all the songs for them... so I'm just gonna post songs for three of them :3
Hitame Higurashi
1000 Words- Yuna[from Final Fantasy]
This song has basically accompanied Hitame all through her life. Before she was taken away from her real parents when she was very(very) young, her mother used to sing this to her. After she was adopted, her adoptive mother sang the same song to her because for some reason Hitame remembered it even after being apart from her mother since she was basically a newborn. And even now she still remembers and she sings it to her younger sister.
Real Emotion- Yuna[Final Fantasy]
This song really just describes how Hitame feels right now. She feels alone and lost, and people around her tell her that she isn't alone and stuff. She also has her sister to protect and she's trying to get strong her because of that. Although she still has yet to figure out that she isn't alone at all. :3
Ryo Hiroku
Never Too Late- Three Days Grace
This song doesn't just go for Ryo, it goes for Hitame too. These two are quite alike. Ryo feels like he doesn't belong in this world because he's always ignored and put down, mostly because he's a vampire. That's with humans around him, but in his family he's just invisible because everything goes to his sister... so yeah, you might be able to imagine his pain...
Sapphire Ivanova
Misery Business- Paramore
This basically just describes Sapphire's personality. The song is upbeat and wild; like her. There's a lot of movement and this song describes the emotions of the singer. Sapphire isn't one to stay still for very long and she isn't afraid to show her emotions [She's completely different from Hitame and Ryo XD].
Aleksa Carlevaro
Fifth Year Slytherin
Number of posts : 357 Special Abilities : Metamorphagus
There are many songs that would describe Miseria, so I will annoy you now with all of those:
Stolen Babies - Push button
First of all as most of you have noticed, Miseria isn't an ordinary girl with some perfect fantasies about her future husband and happy ever after. She's half psychopath with strange things going on in her head. She's never on the same level with her mind with the others which is why she might seem a "little" weird. Things that happen in her head entertain her sometimes. Sometimes they even scare the hell out of her, though it happens rarely.
The Birthday Massacre - In the dark
This song describes perfetly that Miseria is missing some part of her life. Maybe an identity or a true friend or whatever. She sometimes feels lost and also when you watch the video, you can see that the girl is unlocking the heart. Sometimes Miseria feels the same way, only when she does open her heard and mind behind those blank eyes, she's afraid that emotions that have been held back would make things even far more worse.
Annoy me? NONSENSE! ;D Like I said, I love music. I'm enjoying this. ;3
Oh Sapphire. I love Final Fantasy despite never having played any of the games. I indulged in walkthroughs on Youtube, but I got so confused. I had no idea what was going on. >_< Anyhow, I've listened to the first song just once. She is a great singer! It's nice and gentle. Me likey! ^_^
As for "Real Emotion" it's happeh. ^__^ Nice and upbeat. I love happy songs. Did I mention that I dance IRL? This is a song I would dance to. Granted, I'm not sure how good I am per say. But yeah, it's very nice.
Aaaand of COURSE: Misery's Business! Lol. Actually, you got me a little addicted to this song. I never listened to it all that much, but since our thread it's gotten the chance to grow on me. :3
Miseria Lupin!! Are you related to Khaat Lupin, perhaps? That's ma babeh. Anyhow, one thing that popped out to me on your list was The Birthday Massacre. There was a period of time I was hooked on that song, 'Red Star'. I'm not sure what made it stick in my head, but it did. I always felt like I was in some kind of cult, though. That was something.
As for the first song and the description for it -- psychopath! I like psychopaths. Well, I'm not sure how I would feel about meeting one. It's kind of eminent: I want to be a psychologist when I grow up.
You seem to be a fan of rock. ;3 Both songs have a haunting quality. (The video for the first one is weird AF'!) I wonder if either one will grow on me. Well, time will tell, I suppose. Meanwhile, awesome character you have there. RP with me sometime!
Everything about this song screams Keith to me. It's upbeat and arrogant, sometimes clever and mostly just entertaining. It's just a song about how awesome it is to be young and in charge, something that perfectly captures Keith's view on life.
This is slightly darker, and talks about Keith's growing up and realization that life isn't going to be easy, even when you're clever and talented. A growing sense of cynicism without losing the arrogance and determination that really defines Keith. The refrain also shows Keith's desperate need for approval but determination not to change his path just to appeal to others.
